This mower took the guesswork out of maintaining a small lawn and I never have to deal with burying a boundary wire. The optical navigation does a genuinely good job spotting the yard edges and steering around obstacles, cutting in clean parallel lines rather than the random crisscross pattern some other robot mowers use. Setting up the No Go zones with the magnetic strips was straightforward, and it respects those boundaries reliably around garden beds and the pool area. It's noticeably quiet while running, so it's easy to let it work during the day without disrupting anything nearby. For a yard around the 2,600 square foot range, it comfortably finishes a full mow on a single charge and leaves the grass looking evenly trimmed.

This mower was quite interesting to observe as my first smart mower experience: Initially, I was a bit frustrated just trying to get this unit to commence mowing. I wasn't holding down the button long enough/waiting for the unit to process the command instructions. It was a bit of user error, but I wish it was more "cut and dry". The 'throw' of the blades is quite underwhelming and I figured it would take forever as well as multiple redundant passes for this unit to actually cut the lawn. This was partially true, however, it didn't take long for large swaths of the lawn to be cut short. There is a bit of 'law of diminishing returns' in play as it buzzes around trying to find the remaining grass. The last 10% of grass takes 90% of the the time cutting. However, the mower barely uses any power! I observed something like .6V voltage drop after 3hrs of runtime. The other thing that impressed me was that the barriers were not needed at all. The unit seems to deftly identify the edge of the grass and not try to grind the blades into the bordering concrete sidewalk or any worries about causing harm to fences. The only problem I saw was that the unit did seem to get itself into a bit of a cutting loop where it would move forward and then turn around over and over again while it hesitated to cut into this dead patch of grass. I hope some firmware update can resolve this behavior. Overall, I trust this unit to be unsupervised and not escape and run down the street or cut into flowers etc. You might need to weedwhack the bordering fence edges, but then again, you'd often have to even with a traditional mower situation. The blades can be flipped 4 times to a fresh position. 180degree, and upside down. I don't know how long they will last at the current time, but they resemble somewhat, shaving razor blades with extra holes drilled in. The unit is quiet and barely makes any noise. It also leaves no identifiable tire tread marks in the grass like all other mowers do. It is nice to adjust the cuts low as to not let animal waste hide and landmine you later.

This robot lawn mower has made weekend chores way easier on my small lawn. It covers up to that 2600 square feet area without trouble and the six hour battery life lets it finish the job in one go. it goes to work cutting in neat lines while mulching the clippings back into the grass. The optical navigation and edge tracking work surprisingly well even around obstacles and on slopes up to 35 percent. Setting up the no go zones with the magnetic strips took just a few minutes with no digging required. Build quality feels solid for the price at time of review and it is quiet enough that it does not bother the neighbors. For anyone with a compact yard this thing saves real time and effort. Some notes: I keep my grass shorter, its a basic rectangle. If you have obstacles, or need precision you may still need to use edgers,etc. For me, it works great.

Probably would have given it 4 stars because edge function doesn't work and it doesn't overlap cuts well but company is non responsive to complaints so remove another star due to bad/missing customer service. Don't know how warranty will work when they don't even respond to new customer complaints. Pros: cuts the grass instead of me cutting it, battery lasts a long time. It says grass should be only a few inches tall when you first cut it (ie, cut the grass yourself and wait a week to cut it) but I tried it out on taller grass (some spots over 4 to 6 inches tall) and it cut the taller grass too. It finds all borders pretty well. I didn't have to put magnetic strip down anywhere, even on the garden, rock area, border stones, bushes, etc. But it finds edges so well that if you have a big dead patch of yellow grass next to a big patch of green grass it thinks that's a border too and will mow around it. If all the grass is yellowing around similar pace, it works fine. This one doesn't have the feature to go back to home base after grass is cut or when battery is below 20% but most parts of my lawn are nowhere near an outlet for home base to be located so unless they create a battery operated home base, that wouldn't work for me anyway. Also this robot doesn't create a map like some of more advanced robots but this is fine as I can take it over to a neighbor's or friend's yard to demonstrate it in their yard or help them with mowing when they need some help and it won't waste time making a map. I even thought about dropping it off on the front yard of a neighbor who almost never cuts their lawn just to make neighborhood look nicer since it does a decent job cutting taller grass. Cons: bought it brcause it has an edging function but it refuses to edge. It sometimes start to go around the edge and then gives up and starts cutting interior of grass. Also the closest it gets to an edge is about 12 inches or so away so you have to go around entire yard with weed Wacker and cut 12 inches or so of grass on the edges. I read the manual and followed instructions, turned it on and off miltiple times. Also, I left a message for company in their "contact us" messaging system but they never contacted me and they don't have a phone number on their site. Sometimes it goes around in circles even though its not on random mode and there's nothing stuck on the wheels. Also the overlap when it goes back in opposite but parallel direction is a bit too small as it sometimes leaves a thin line of taller grass that it missed due to overlap being too small. The diameter of cutting blades is pretty small, maybe around 6 inches or so, so it takes the robot a long time to cut the lawn, especially as it has to go back to get those missed taller lines of grass it missed due to lack of overlap in a criss cross pattern as sometimes when I send it back on same direction, it missed the original line it missed in the first place. Thankfully battery lasts multiple hours, longer than most other robots. It doesn't really save a huge amount of outside time as when you cut your front lawn or area without a fence, you still have to be outside to make sure no one takes it as it has no antitheft features like GPS for you to find the robot if someone steals it or sending message to your phone if someone picks it up or making loud beeping sounds if someone picks it up up without your permission (ie being close to your phone). But on plus side you can be working or watching a show outside instead of mowing yourself which is nice. May be a bit more difficult during cold winter weather though. Also if you have a long, skinny patch of lawn like around a sidewalk or walkway, around 2 ft wide, it will get really confused and will not mow it at all. Conclusion: I'm glad I got it and I do recommend it. But I really wish the edging feature would work. Maybe I'll try returning it and switching it out for another machine to see if edging feature works in another machine and this one is faulty. I would have worked with manufacturer on getting it figured out but they don't respond so they'll have to deal with return costs.

Setup is a bit of a pain if you have many undefined spaces in your yard- you've got to block them off with the provided wire or it'll try to mow over your borderless flower bed. Once all the wires are set up and docking station out, it's pretty stinkin cool to watch this guy mow your lawn. Best for smaller yards that don't have the bunnies. Overall performance is decent- what you would expect from a battery-powered mower. It won't run through foot tall grass, but as long as you stay on top of your mowing needs it'll get the job done. Value is decent, but since the deck is so skinny, it takes at least two charges to do a decent-sized lawn. Relatively quiet and easy to adjust cutting length. Looks kinda cute moving around the backyard!

Everything has its place. Is this the same as the full size gps enabled robot mowers that cost $3000 and do a full acre, no. It is fully designed and advertised for small garden yards. 2500sqft, that's 50' x 50' or a combination therof. It's got a very small, in my opinion. 6" 3 razor blade cutting wheel. It is relatively quite and moves very slow. It works on the principle of low power long work time. It will run for hours. No docks are anything so no real automation availability. Light enough though that you pull it out of the garage, set it in the yard, drop in the separately charged battery, long press your mode and off she goes. Has a basic optic system that uses contrast based patching decisions so no wire is needed. Does come with some magnetic stripping if it has particular areas you want to keep it out of. Neighbors yards, back to front, etc.. not enough to do your full perimeter so expect to buy more or dedicate to fensed or landscaped seperate spaces only. I recommend using the highest cutting setting for normal grass. I mean it's a budget robot mower meant for small tame spaces. I do wish that it had gps and a mapping app to set boundaries, home resting place, charge alerts, and a doc but that's what the more expensive brands are offering and it costs a lot more. Based on price and category alone, I'd put it at 4 stars. Of all robot mowers, probably a 2. More of a novelty and designed, again, for very specific use cases.

This is really an impressive device. It is truly autonomous in how it does not require an app, no pairing with a smart phone, and no wifi access. It does its thing all on its own. Sure, it has a small mowing diameter and runs kind of slow. So what? You're not there pushing it on a hot summer day and the battery has ample power to run it for many hours. You need to think of mowing your lawn differently now. Instead of setting aside a few hours on the weekend to mow, then shower, then rest, it now only takes you about 2 minutes to take care of the grass. Just drop it in the grass, push the power button, then push a mow button and walk away. The sensors on it will take care of everything else. After it starts it goes into a seemingly random explore pattern, then it mows the perimeter, and then it mows in parallel lines. I have no idea how it does this so precisely but it really does. The sensors on it keep it on the grass and away from non grassy surfaces. In the attached video, you can see how it stops at a bare dirt patch, thinking the lawn ends there. For lawns that cross property lines, a magnetic strip can be placed down to show it where the property ends. Now true, it does take hours to complete. Much more time than if I mowed it myself, but who cares? I forget about it sometimes. The price point is the same or less than what you might pay for a push lawnmower making this an interesting proposition. Where once these were expensive and unreliable novelties, this unit really does work making it a viable alternative. I'm not ditching my lawnmower yet. There are certain areas of my yard that have big depressions in it making a traditional mower a better option. For most of my yard I am using this one, and now I only spend about 10 minutes pushing a mower in those difficult areas. For price and performance this get 5 stars from me.

I have a very small yard, about 60' x 25' with a solid wood fence along 3 sides and the magnetic strip along the 4th side (which is where our carport and driveway are. The magnetic strip keeps the mower from wandering onto the carport/concrete area, but the fact that the yard itself is only about 1-inch higher than the concrete is enough for the mower to get stuck. The same goes for one other side of my yard where I've edged along the fence - it gets stuck there, too. I've had it outside for 2 hours and it's only cut a few small strips. I've been checking on it about every 15 minutes and every single time I find it stuck in a spot that it shouldn't be stuck in. Heck, my Shark INDOOR vacuum handles higher offsets without getting stuck! On top of all that, the miniscule 6-inch cut width doesn't even produce a clean cut. The grass where I live is too thick for this weak little toy and I don't imagine it'd be much better anywhere else. It might be fine if all your grass and surrounding areas are as flat as finished concrete, otherwise a robo-vac can navigate better terrain. Save your money, this is garbage.
