I was needing a personal scanner for my 04 Suburban. This thing works amazingly the fact that I can hook up to Wi-Fi and it'll do a Vin scan plus a full Vehicle Health check is amazing. This is some dealer level scan tool options for a fraction of the price. I have currently only use it on my suburban and the fact that I can control the windows, I can adjust my seats, I can turn on all my dash lights to make sure none of them are burnt out, I can see ABS, airbag, body control modual and even TPMS modules and communicate with then is nothing short of amazing for this price. Dead on arrival. I plugged the Launch Creader Elite G in my computer per directions. The Launch Creader Elite G screen briefly came on then the screen went blank. I plugged the Launch Creader Elite G OBD2 plug into my vehicle OBD2 port per directions. The Launch screen did not come on. My conclusion is a defective product. Update: I received a replacement unit per Amazon chat. The replacement unit did the same thing. I plugged it in per directions. The screen briefly came on then went blank. I Tried again. The unit did not work. Amazon chat did an excellent job. Amazon refunded my purchase price. Conclusion defective product. ... show more

    • Pretty helpful gadget actually
It's helped me figure out some minor stuff your basic reader will do most of the same for me on a 2016 impala turning actuators on and off and all of that I just did it as a test and there's only a few so if that's why you're buying it that's only inside that's only a side benefit. But it does break things down into a nice report you can send to yourself when it works..... Some lights I was able to reset and try to figure out what is really going on. Car off some will do car running others will do. So that's helpful. Over all I am happy for the purchase. Oh by the way if you're still reading this you don't have to buy the additional packages after a year it gives you like a 50 year license or whatever lol so you're good once you buy this thing haha ... show more

    • Kinda confusing to navigate but a good tool to have.
So Ive had this for about a month now and honestly Im not sure what to think yet. First impression was not great because its more than a little confusing to figure out how to access all available functions. After I spent a little time getting used to it I was able to use it for what I had initially purchased it for wich is a crank re learn on my 97 Pontiac grand am se. The bi directional functions seem to work well for the most part although again, it can be pretty confusing trying to navigate the menus to get where you want to be. My biggest complaint is that for something wich supposedly performs all specialty functions for GM vehicles I have not been very impressed with the options available on the vehicles I've used it for so far. Maybe the limited functionality is just due to the age of the vehicles I have used it on, all of them being 2004 and older. Overall a useful tool once you get the hang of the navigation and seeing as it cost about the same amount as what a shop wanted to charge me for performing the crank re learn its already paid for itself. I just hope there are more functions available on newer vehicles, time will tell. ... show more

I read the reviews and was a little worried, but I figured I needed to try it. I had an issue with my 2011 GMC Duramax, which required a command from a bi directional scanner to correct the errors in the emissions computer system. After removing and replacing the defective part in the DEF tank, I was able to successfully complete the process by resetting the computer with this device. I highly recommend this scanner.
