I have a love/hate relationship with Windows, but I still find it necessary for a few things.. I like the Surface as a tablet, and it works for those things that I must have a PC for. If you're used to an iPad, the Surface will be very heavy, though not uncomfortably so. It has an integrated keyboard for when you have to type, and the touch screen for when you don't. Both work great. The screen is large, with excellent definition and the sound from the tiny speakers in adequate for almost anything short of listening to music. The tablet boots quickly, always seems to find my wifi, and uses face recognition so that I don't have to type my password. The design and use of this tablet are easy, intuitive, and well thought out. My complaints are few. It is expensive--more so than I think it should be. It also comes with a few really annoying programs that microsoft wants you to use, that automatically run when you boot up. I got sick of those and disabled them. It also has Microsoft's annoying habit of updating, whether you want to or not. Eventually, it will update the operating system and the tablet will quit working. I'm sure this is Microsoft's way of getting you to buy an new one. Overall, if you're looking for a good tablet/pc that is portable and works well, I'd consider this one. ... show more

The Surface Pro 4 seems to work properly for the most part. I have had some issues with the touch screen not working properly at times. I also had an issue with the charger that came with this device. It was a 3rd party charger that seemed to be under powered for the device. If the battery was running down, and I plugged the charger in while trying to use the device, the charger would connect/disconnect constantly. I would have to power the tablet off and wait for it to completely charge before using it again. I went online and purchased a replacement charger elsewhere, and the tablet itself seems to work properly now. Overall it seems to work with the replacement charger, other than some occasional issues with the touchscreen from time to time. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Hello. I've never written a review, but this is my first. I bought the Surface Pro 4, since I like it and had previously bought another one. This was a gift for a friend. I don't live in the US so I use a courier to purchase through Amazon. The computer arrived well, the packaging was good and everything was fine inside. When I turned it on, the screen had the flickering problem, since I'm not in the US I can't send it back. I told my brother who is a software engineer to check it, and my brother took the PC apart, and he found strange things that show that the computer was not fixed, in fact, it was not even taken apart for inspection. It had a disconnected camera cable, a loose cable, dried out thermal paste from several years ago, an admin account with programs that shouldn't be there. The problem persists, after putting in new thermal paste, a complete check and connecting all the cables correctly. I hope they don't scam people with computers they don't fix. The back was moderately scratched and scuffed. The screen has light bleeding from the bottom edge and the capacitive touch doesn't always work. It works well with the active stylus (purchased separately). It's fast enough for web surfing and streaming content.

I bought the product in "excellent" condition. It came enclosed in two thick boxes, super thick bubble wrap, and packing paper. The screen is perfect. I ran all my windows updates and it runs perfect. MAKE SURE YOU RUN UPDATES. The only issue is a scuff in the corner of the outer plastic which is just cosmetic. It did come with a charger. I was very on the fence after reading other reviews but I recommend this product. As of 7/28/23 this product is not able to run windows 11 due to the processor just fyi. ... show more

I'm impressed with the condition of this Surface Pro 4. I know a lot of times a refurbished item arrives with flaws or not up to par when comparing to a new item. I took a chance on this one due to the ratings and feedback of the seller and I'm very happy with it's condition. There are no dead pixels, no scratches on the screen or case, it is clean overall and the screen is very reactive to touch and it works great. It came with Windows 10 Pro, 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. I installed a 200 GB SanDisk microSD card for additional storage and an amFilm Glass Screen Protector to keep it looking and responding like new.
