This is the best budget friendly fan I’ve found to beat Louisiana heat! It really helps circulate the air and keeps a huge room comfortable, while helping us keep our cooling bills lower. We can keep our thermostat on 78° and stay cool with one of these in the main rooms in our home. Absolutely worth the cost! The only downside is the fan isn’t quiet. I wanted a fan that has a strong breeze and this one fits the bill. It gets so hot in my 2nd story even with air conditioning that I need a good fan to cool down the bedroom. It is a bit loud so I cannot hear the TV but I use my bluetooth earbuds and that works great. I love the oscillation feature, the sleep timing and 3 power levels. I like that the air intake is on both sides near the bottom of the fan so it does not suck in my sheers. It is lightweight so is very easy to move around. It sits about 3 feet high (I did not measure) and I can use the lever to direct the breeze up or down. This is perfect for me! ... show more

Replaced an older version of this same fan. This was the second attempt at getting it right. What you got to have to move air effectively in a larger room space, is a High Vilocity fan. We thought all the tower fans were, and that is Definitely Not the case. Our last one finally died on us after close to at least 5 or 6 years of 24x7 use. Only downside is not much ability to cleaning them, which is what I found was likely why our old one died. They get really cacked with dust bunnies! I think I’m a fan snob. I had a previous generation of this fan and it was phenomenal. This fan isn’t as powerful (but it is quieter) and doesn’t have as wide of range.

I thought it was going to blow from the full height evenly. The fan actually only blows from the top half, which makes the air current much stronger and doesn't waste anything blowing into the base of my bed.

We had the tall one before and it seems Lasko stopped making the tall one. This one is easily a foot shorter which we didn't like. But as a fan it works very nice and doesn't have much noise. It works for what we need (nightime bed time use) and it keeps us from running the AC all night.
