Not bad. Definitely cheap plastic. It is rather awkward, cumbersome, and clunky, the handle area is rather slick, can't get a good grip for carrying around. The base takes up lots of space. It sounds like a fan, but on low speed it is pretty quiet w/a nice sound, medium and high is a tad roaring if you are sensitive to sound. The tilt feature is nice. If you sit at a desk and want some air flow that moves up from your feet it would be great for that. The distance of the air flow is pretty far. What I don't like is the knob that you use to turn off/on/adjust the speeds. It takes both hands, is pretty resistant to turning, I prefer push button style switches. I tried to see if I could pull it apart to see how hard to clean the blades will be, but I couldn't get it to budge. I caught it on a "deal" and will probably keep it simply because what I paid for it I will get my money's worth out of it if it makes it through the summer. It will make for a nice floor area fan to keep the dog cool on his bed. It also would make for a nice fan to donate to a local cooling program in the community. ... show more

I picked up this Amazon Basics air circulator fan for my home office, and it’s been great so far. It’s lightweight (easy to move from room to room), doesn’t take up much space on my desk, and the black design is simple and blends in nicely. The three speed settings give enough range—low is quiet enough to keep on while working or sleeping, and high pushes a surprising amount of air for its size. The 90-degree tilt is handy for aiming airflow where I need it, whether across the room or more directly at my desk. At just 35 watts, it’s also pretty energy-efficient. It won’t replace a big box fan for cooling an entire room, but as a personal fan or air circulator, it’s excellent for the price. I work from home in a small home office and the room can get pretty hot in the summer. The windows are south facing and heat up the room much more than the rest of the house and cranking the AC is not worth the cost when the rest of the house is at a reasonable temp. Enter: this fan! It’s powerful enough for my small room. Not loud at all so I can take calls without turning it off. And most importantly keeps me cool when the sun is beating into the room all day. It’s small enough to put on a desk or shelf if needed but for now I just set it on the floor facing me and it works just fine. Very compact, reasonably priced, quiet but powerful. No notes. This "Amazon Basics Air Circulator Fan, Desk Fan for Bedroom" is a nice fan to use to help circulate air in the house. IT has 3 speeds and does a nice job. It is not a heavy duty fan, so if you need a powerful fan, you should research more. But if you need air circulated in your bedroom or other room, this fan can do the job. The reason I give a four start rather than 5 is that the base is a bit wider than it could be- If you put it on our windows after a bit, it may vibrate off the sill and fall to the ground. It would be nice if they made the base a bit smaller so it would fit on window sill better. Overall, it iss a nice fan and it circulate air quite well! I recommend this fan if you need air in our bedroom or tother room. ... show more
