I picked this product because Amazon had sold a boatload of them, it had good reviews and I was familiar with the brand Lasko and felt they made a solid product. It came quickly in the window they said it would. It was in a plain box that showed no damage but something in the box clunked as you moved box around. Fan was well packed in the box with foam spacers and plastic bags. Assembly was easy but there was a funny clunk when moved as if the fan blade assembly was loose. This is a vertical fan. I plugged it in and turned it on to hear a very loud noise. Turned it off and tried it again to a loud noise as fan tried to turn and than a hum. Turned it off and figured the fan was “Toast”. Do I call Amazon or Lasko. Called Lasko and talked with Jillian. Other than her phone kind of clicking on and off which made it hard for me to understand her sometimes she was very helpful. Hearing was better 20 years ago. Other than the hearing issue Jillian was great. Explained what was wrong and she said it would be replaced under a one time issue. If I sent the receipt with specific info on it they would consider it a warranty problem and it would still have warranty coverage. That is my understanding. The new fan would be delivered in 5-7 business days. It came in 4. E mailed receipt to Jillian. Great customer service Lasko. Interesting the box was not plain but had info and pictures of fan on it. Put it together plugged it in turned it on and had a very quiet on the high speed fan. Like the small floor space it takes up. Checks all the boxes the first one didn’t. ... show more

We bought this fan in 2020 for our tiny apartment that only had one wall A/C in the living room-- the bedroom was getting crazy hot in the summer. The oscillating tower fan we had at the time was much smaller. We'd only had it 9 months and it was already starting to make random, incredibly loud noises. Impossible to sleep with. We bought this fan to replace it and it has been our permanent bedroom fan for the last three years. It's very quiet and easy to sleep with, but also provides a tiny bit of white noise for my husband. The remote is kept by my bed and works great. It doesn't have a huge turn radius, but that's never been a problem for us. The air it produces is steady and strong enough to keep you cool. We love this fan and are very happy it has lasted us this long. It doesn't seem to be quitting on us any time soon either. ... show more
