Have a K40 mounted on my Openbuilds LEAD 1515 CNC which makes this a 4 foot laser cutter. Cutting through 1/4 inch, 6mm MDF in one pass at 450mm/m and 80% power. I did wire the laser, exhaust and air assist to their own surge protector to keep everything safe.

So for I have cut about 500 feet of 1/4" plywood. 20,000 parts 2"x2". I have to go slower than I was hoping but it works. 24 inch per min two passes.

Works like a champ on a CR falcon with some minor modifications to the machine. I had to drill some holes in the machine bracket to accommodate for the new mounting bracket, 3d print a spacer to account for the larger module, and add a switch to turn off the PWM signal entirely when framing a burn job - the framing cross hairs only show when the power is set to 0, but Creality's stock firmware is set to 5, enough to lightly engrave the perimeter on leather or wood with the more powerful module. Make sure to account for the 21mm offset in lightburn if you're sending via Gcode on a sd card, else it'll try going past zero.

Bought this to upgrade my 5.5w sculpfun s9 after being frustrated with it. No special modification needed, it bolted right on. It did need two longer m6 to bolt the adapter plate to that carriage, i had two laying around. This laser cuts very well and deep. I use shop air between 20-40 psi for my air assist and it cleans the cut awesome. Plywood doesn’t cut well due to glue and different woods types. Etched steel. Doesn’t etch aluminum. Good manual in box.

Delivered on time, came very welled packaged, just as seller described. Unit was easy installed on my Longmill cnc. This unit is way more powerful than my 7 watt. Cuts through ply, MDF, Acrylic, and pine as advertised on web site. I may buy their smaller laser just for engraving tile because this one is a little big. I have cut acrylic key chains, words for crafting, engraved plywood,cut 1/4 ply for a prayer cross. I bought the comgrow Air Assist kit to provide air assist.
