Everything was fine until a week in when I was trying to reproduce images on tile that I did previously. nothing had changed. I found out I could not use Wifi or the system would freak out had to use USB and yes I am running Firmware 210 which during the Tech support for that I was asked 4 times. ok, so I'm using USB not Wifi I engraved about 20 tiles and set them up on my website to sell them. Things going well. I sold a few and now it was time to make more I had changed no settings and prepared the tiles in the same way and the results turned out horrible. I must have tried a dozen times and also went to FB for answers but no one had a clue as to why this was happening. I turned to Tech Support I did everything they asked me to do and the conclusion was nothing was wrong. I pointed out that the tests showed something that took 27min before now would take 4 to 5 hours to complete in my eyes that's an issue. I sent in the requested new video of my laser to tech support and during this, the Support Tech decides to leave the company over the direction the company is going. To top it off he closed the support ticket and refuses to help me further even on Facebook. I emailed the person now handling support but I have had no response it's been over a week. To add more insult to this purchase Amazon will return my money but is going to charge me a restocking fee of $120.00 because I had run out of time with the return. I had nothing to do with this They even said an exchange could not be done as well. I'm now between a rock and a hard place no one is actually helping me solve this problem an Amazon is not seeing the big picture here. ... show more

Ortur factory customer support from the manufacturer is virtually non existent, deferring to a separate tech dedicated to Amazon sales. Expect long wait time. That said, when you sort through the frustration of intermittent connectivity, and lack of plug and play, the 10 Watt Ortur laser is more capable, powerful and faster than a 20 Watt XTool twice as expensive. ... show more

    • Great laser to start off with and a good price to match.
I purchased the 15W version of the Laser Master 2. It arrived with 2 day shipping. The packaging seemed to keep everything tight and secure. The instructions were clear enough to put it together in a reasonable timeframe. For me 45 minutes to an hour being meticulous and careful while also fighting off the cats as they performed their inspections on the product. The box came with a note that said I got a new version of the laser which had a fixed focus. It took me a minute to figure out how to align everything because I didn't notice the pictures near the end of the instructions. Basically there's a locking pin that allows you to adjust the height of the laser and a metal block that you place between the workpiece and the laser head. Twist the screw and that provides a perfect focus adjustment. I understand that some people might want an adjustable focus but for me that simplifies the process and removes user error when trying to dial in the laser beam. I purchased a better set of glasses for the laser after some reviews indicate how the glasses supplied are not that great but it's understandable that you're not getting a $40 pair of eye-pro with your $300 laser. I picked up the 15W instead of the 20W for the $60-$70 difference. Not much of a power difference in the laser and I figure this is my entry level laser. Eventually, if I want a more capable laser I'll upgrade to a CO2 model. I did some test engraving in some walnut and some plywood laying around. The garage became rather smokey, recommend some sort of ventilation or a respirator. Luckily I had one for painting with a sprayer and that seemed to work well. Overall, I would highly recommend this laser if you want something entry level, easy to set up, and easy to use. ... show more
