Good scraper for sourdough or any bread dough. Scrapes side of bowls cleanly, better than a spatula. Good tool to use to cut dough to make rolls or to level flour amounts in cups.     • Fantastic, durable, and effective scrapers for sourdough baking
I use these every single time I make a loaf of sourdough. After I mix my dough up, I use a scraper to clean all the bits off the side of the bowl and then fold it into the rest of the dough. Sometimes, I also use them if I'm dividing a batch of dough into multiple pieces, like if I was making bread bowls and wanted 4 portions out of a batch. They are stiff enough to scrape, but also mold and bend a little bit to the bowl, making it a more effective scrape. The colors are fun as well! To clean, a quick spray with the sink nozzle works like a charm. Remember, you don't want raw dough to go down the sink, because it could clog your drain, so be sure to wipe off as much dough as possible and then put something at the bottom of the drain to catch any bits you miss. ... show more

    • Used heavily for 2 years - much better than softer scrappers
These have worked great and have held up for 2 years and hundreds of bread loaves and pizzas. I've tried the more flexible types of scrapers but find these stiffer ones superior at getting sticky dough off the sides of a bowl with less work. They still have just enough flex to fit different bowl shapes, but enough stiffness to make a clean pickup of the dough. Only downside is the stiffness means eventually the scrappers start to crack. Not that these aren't sturdy. It was a lot of scrapping of big heavy batches over a couple of years before that happened, but they're cheap to replace. The softer scrappers I have don't work as well, require much more arm strength, and thus sit in the drawer. ... show more
