I used these too supplement tie downs on my expensive sunbrella boat cover . They clamp on tight and i was able to put another strap every where i put one. The extra width is nice. And they just roll up with the cover. Also added some sandbags. Perfecto. After a couple of weeks in the sun these come loose the nut strips it too tight. Cannot depend on them to stay on when i need them to. Thats in windy wrather.

I bought these to hold a mesh tarp over my 16 ft trailer. The install was straightforward and took minutes. These clips have done a great job keeping the tarp in place at interstate speeds. My only criticism is that a couple of the clips snapped in two due to over-tightening. There is a plastic screw that closes the teeth over the tarp edge and you can easily overtighten it. Be careful!

I used these to clamp a tarp over my storage shed and they've held up through the Florida rain and wind so far. My shed is between the house and a fence, so that helps, but these clamps work pretty well. They are plastic, so of course if you turn the knob too hard, it just clicks back and doesn't overtighten.
