Silicone prep surfaces are the best thing for baking since.....well....sliced bread. And, this one is no exception. This is a large mat (20x28"), so it offers a lot of room to make big crusts, laminated doughs, pastas, etc. This reinforced silicone mat really sticks down on the counter surface and, at least on my granite, does not budge a bit when working dough. I really love that this mat has length measurements in both inches and centimeters. It also has conversion charts printed on it for ingredient measurements and temperatures. It is a very useful tool. Clean up is a snap. I have a double sink, so I drape the mat over the sink divider and wash it down. Really, it couldn't be easier. Further, it takes up much less storage space than a board! Just fold it up or HINT: fold once then roll it up and slip it inside a paper towel tube to protect it. One note: don't use sharp knives or other metal kitchen tools without caution. These mats are tough, but they can be cut. When possible, stick to plastic tools. This is the second of these mats that I have acquired and, IMO, they are awesome. Highly recommended ... show more

I ordered this pastry mat mainly for sourdough loaf shaping but also to roll out dough for my dumplings or pie crusts. When I first took it out of the package it seems so thin and floppy I thought it would never work because it would just pull up and stick to the dough being rolled. But I was wrong. This thing clings like crazy to the countertop (we have a quartz slab top). It doesn't budge from its spot so I can manipulate the dough without this pastry mat moving. Makes cleaning my floured mess so much faster and its very easily washable. Rolls nicely for storage. I'm really pleased with this! ... show more

This EXTRA LARGE SILICONE BAKING MAT is great ! it is thick and yes extra large so much so that counters will have to be cleared for use in my kitchen . I really like all of added measurements they are various and vividly outlined . What a great baking mat and price

This product folded up with a tissue layer. It unfolded with no siign of a crease! Now that is flexible... the mat has a useful circular pattern and dimensions for aiding dough rolling. There is an open weave layer of fiberglass cloth imbedded in the center which will prevent the sharpest knife from cutting through. The silicone surface grabs the countertop and will not slide will rolling stuff doughs. Mt first dough was for a pizza and had an oiled surface. This rolled out with ease and came off the mat without issue. Looking forward to using it more. I rolled it up with the tissue it came with as this is the easiest way for me to store it. ... show more
