I especially liked the frame construction. The frame is heavy duty and I was impressed. The ease of construction was a relief. Very easy instructions and the frame was up within an hour. I was doing all the work myself. The screening, or chicken wire was a chore. Doing all the work alone, it was cumbersome, and sometimes a challenge for me to roll it our over the domed frame. Being almost 70 I will attribute this to age, but again it was cumbersome. The screening is heavy enough to keep birds of prey out, probably raccoons, cats, but if a large dog wanted to tear into the coop it could. I would suggest investing in some more sturdy zip ties to secure the screening to the coop frame. The zip ties that come with the coop are not heavy duty. I broke several tightening them down before I stopped using them and got stronger ones at my local box store. I would suggest investing in some tent stakes to secure the footing of the frame down to the ground. I bought some on Amazon and they work well. There are already pre drilled holes in the footing of the frame for tent stakes to fit into. I would also suggest investing in some underground fencing as in stop dig defense to set along the perimeter of the coop. I got some on Amazon and a pack of 25 which are 2 feet long each will go around the perimeter of the coop with 2 left over. All in all I spent just under $500 for a pretty secure predator proof coop. I have used this about 8 months, and for my needs, it has worked out well. I use this as a large extra-space run for my chickens. I have 11. They have a large 5x5 coop - and a run attached to that, that is 5x12 with hardware cloth all around. I attached this product to my existing run. I elected NOT to put the chicken wire on the back - and backed it up against my current run. I secured the sides, and an automatic door opens from one run to the other. I originally had an open fenced area - but it didn't have a top - and a hawk got 2 of my hens. With this product - nothing can fly in and hurt them - plus, I can walk in, and not have to bend over because it is high enough...which is a lifesaver if you have back problems. The chicken wire could be stronger -but for a day-time outdoor run...it is perfect for me. I put hardware cloth around the ground all around it, so nothing can did in - and secured with stakes. So far, so good. Good price and it is very large. I got the double rounded top one. Wished I had started with this - way cheaper than building your own run with the cost of supplies now. ... show more

The frame was very simple to assemble. The directions for the door assembly however were very difficult to understand since it just provides a picture with no instruction. Once we figured it out it was simple enough. The chicken wire provided is of good quality. If you want your run to be predator proof however I would recommend you get hardwire cloth instead. The provided zip ties are also not very good, I'd recommend either high quality zip ties or wire for securing your wire to the frame. I also have a canvas covering the back part of the run that was not included. ... show more

This was a lot easier to assemble than I'd anticipated. I did need help because I was too short to reach the top segments, but you could do this with a ste ladder if forced to work alone. The instructions were not hard to understand and the structure is secure. Despite what others said about the wiring being flimsy, I actually preferred to working with it over regular chicken wire. I'm not saying it's the Fort Knox of chicken wire, but as I'm fortunate enough to not have to worry about coyotes and other bigger predators, I am satisfied. Would HIGHLY recommend securing the bottom with yard stakes and filling in any gaps at the bottom with dirt or bricks. ... show more
