The media could not be loaded. I purchased an electronic pet door seven months ago, but unfortunately the motor is already messed up. While waiting for a replacement, I searched for something simple and reasonably priced to get me through, and came across this little gem. Though I’ve only had it for a week now, it has been a blessing! One of my dogs is elderly and has health issues that make him have to potty often. We have actually been in the middle of a tropical storm (Ophelia) this evening, and even with him running in and out constantly in crazy wind, the door has closed back on it’s own each time. The magnet at the bottom is the PERFECT weight for small dogs to be able to push through, yet still keep the wind from easily blowing open! This is a great little door!

The media could not be loaded. I usually try to give products the benefit of the doubt, but this one falls WAY short. The problems are as follows; 1. The instructions were pretty much non-existent. There were pieces that were included that I still don't know what they were for. There were four drawings and four steps on the template to cut out the hole in the door. Watching the video in the listing here on Amazon helped more than the provided instructions. 2. The holes between the two halves did not line up. I learned this by pushing the screws through the door & only then learned they were misaligned by a much as 1/4". 3. Two strips of insulation were provided. They were to be placed in the slot that encircled both halves of the frame. However, they would NOT stay in place. I had to use Gorilla Glue to hold them in place. 4. There were four pieces of plastic to line the area where the inside area of the door was cut out. While this was a good idea, they were too thin & brittle and two of the pieces ended up breaking during the installation. (One of the pictures I provided shows how the insulation in the door is now exposed). 5. The door doesn't open easily nor does it shut properly. I've attached a video showing the problem. I need to return this, but unfortunately, I can't until the new door that I custom ordered arrives. Otherwise, I'll have a hole in my door for 5 weeks. I cannot stress enough that this product not be ordered.

I think that $50 is a bit high for 3 pieces of plastic with no installation instructions or hardware.

Once I get the new door I placed I will update if it's stronger than it appears. Simple installations with clear instructions. Door is thin as expected but doesn't seem to stick shut well in my free standing test. Will update and upgrade if it is stronger than it seems.

After install the inner walls cracked because they are so thin. And after two days the door snap right off. I had a cheaper model door that lasted over 2 years. This one was more expensive and looked like it was sturdier. Boy was I wrong on this purchase. Update: absolutely no one has got to me on this item. I bought the large one and I have medium size dog. So it was being treated rough at all.
