I have never paid much attention to how many “mil” a tarp is until recently. Always bought the “heavy duty” tarps from Walmart to go over our boat cover for extra protection from rain, snow and wind. Took the time to check on how many mils Walmart’s “heavy duty” tarp is and it’s a 10 mil. Last one we bought, all the grommets fell out in a month! Decided to try this 16 mil tarp and what a pleasant surprise! Heavy duty doesn’t even describe it! Reinforced corners, grommets about 16” apart and this plastic is so thick! Never had a tarp this good and VERY REASONABLY PRICED TOO! I plan to do an update on this review on how it lasts in Southern Colorado heat and then snow. I’m expecting best we’ve ever seen! The very BEST! Update: 9 months later, this awesome tarp is still doing an amazing job on the boat! I am seeing some wear on places the wind makes it rub but we have NEVER had a tarp last like this!

I have several of different sizes and for different purposes. They are sturdy and thicker than most and no sun/water damage! The rings are also still intact, which usually is the first thing to break on other tarps. By far the best tarps I ever bought!

I bought a set of two 4"x6" tarps. They appear to be well made and I assumed they were identical. I used the first one as a template for drilling anchors for the second one. When I went to install them I found out that one was several inches wider than the other. I also found that the grommet spacing and placement was irregular and totally inconsistent from side to side and even the distance from the edges. One side had 6 grommets and the across the parallel side had 5. None were evenly spaced on either of the tarps. One tarp had grommets on all 4 sides and the other only on two sides. I made them work but kind of a pain in the... Otherwise I expect them to hold up a lot better than the cheap ones they are replacing.

Overall this is a good heavy duty tarp, however that being said the grommets are WEAK. Most of them pulled out the very first time I used the tarp. Only the reinforced corners hold well.
