I purchased this to wear underneath a Fjallraven Kiruna parka when I need the extra heat. I am pleasantly surprised at how much heat this vest retains, yet, remains thin enough that my jacket is not uncomfortably bulky. In fact, I LIKE how my jacket looks with it on: the added girth slightly rounds out the jacket well and actually wears on me better since the jacket is a little long on me. Plus, it’s very packable—it can be tightly rolled or folded into a backpack for traveling and won’t take a whole lot of room. It’s surprisingly well-made, given its reasonable price point: it is a lightweight fill, but I believe it’s made with down. It only has 2, small snap-outer pockets but as the intention is to wear it underneath a jacket, it’s more like additional, inner security pockets for me. As a layer to add warmth to a jacket, I’d easily buy this over a much pricier Fjallraven vest—and nobody will know the difference. I will admit, I’m surprised it didn’t fit better, given the specialty size. I am 4’11, 105 lbs (on a good day, lol), so given it’s a Petitie XS, I thought it would be more fitting: I was surprised it fit as if it were just a regular XS, not only because it still felt loose (more like what I’d expect from a Small, even) but more importantly, the length extended well past my hips: the “Petite Standard” was probably based on the taller end of the short spectrum at 5’3. I guess it’s not so bad since the extra length will help with coverage. And if I’m being honest, I like how the fit isn’t too tight and very comfortable—and it actually doesn’t look too bad without the jacket!👍 ... show more

I’ve ordered a few vests for this fall/winter from Amazon but I really wasn’t happy with the quality. I decided it was worth investing more money in the vest so I’d get the quality I was looking for. This Lands End vest is perfect! It fits perfectly, the material is a nice quality. It isn’t shiny or a wrinkled mess. The arm holes are the perfect size for a sweater without leaving a big gap for wind to come in through. It’s a great weight for fall and winter. And the pockets snap closed. The go to garment for every situation/season My measurements are 5’9”, ~ 175 lbs and measures 34, 29, 39. I got this in size (L) Large on prime day(s) this year (2020) so it was on sale for 24.95 I wish the pockets were able to be zipped, not just snapped on the interior hidden snap closures. I also wish they had put another pocket on the inside of the vest, even if it was thin and not meant to hold much. The color is very pretty and I like how it seems to POP with color even though the color is a navy blue, so it’s on the darker side. I was scared the large was going to be too big but I decided to trust other reviewers. When it showed up I was still concerned it was not as fitted as I wanted, but that does mean I can wear jackets and all sorts of other types of layers under it if wanted, plus it is still cool to the touch on the outside but nude and toasty warm on the inside. I also really like that the pockets are fleece lined. Update after a couple weeks of wear, I am glad that I got the large. It accommodates me on my thinner or my more flabby days. True to size. Medium tall on 6’ 185lbs frame. Washes and dries well, warm but not thermal. Get so many compliments! Staple wardrobe piece feels like it will last for ages!

Love the feminine cut of this vest. Nice lines, super flattering. It’s medium weight - keeps me nice and warm on cold, dry days. Well, not my arms, they get cold. I don’t find it to be stretchy, but wouldn’t necessarily want that anyway. I love this vest!

I bought this vest in the off season for less than half price and it was an absolute steal for what I paid. This vest is of good quality. The shell is a durable material. The filling is listed as 80% down/ 20% feathers and is tagged 600 fill power. The vest is like wearing a light weight 3 season sleeping bag. The interior lining is silver colored and will help with reflecting heat back to your body. The quality is what I would expect from Landsend and it does not feel cheap or an imitation. By itself I would rate its warmth down to the mid 40s. As a liner under a wind break type jacket or rain coat I think you could be comfortable down to the 30s. Would also be appropriate under a winter coat to get you comfortable in below freezing temperatures. I intend to make this a part of my outdoors wardrobe. And will use it to insulate myself as one of my layers for cold weather warmth. The size is appropriate for actual size. I am 250 pounds and ordered 2xl and the fit is slightly loose and allows for plenty of mobility. It does not pack down ultra tight nor does it come with a stuff sack. Its more a fashion vest than a backpacking vest. The 2xl vest folds down to about the size of a 6 pack of 12 oz cans. ... show more

This vest helped keep me warm during a trip to Iceland during the winter. It fit very nicely under my warm winter jacket and did a great job of keeping me warm. If you’re on the fence about getting this vest, I’d recommend getting it. For the quality alone, it’s worth it.
