  • Good reputation for a reason
Color: Cooler Set
Fantastic build quality. Everything lines up perfectly, only a very, very slight distortion just under the charging port which I think is unavoidable based on the deck's layout. Does not add much bulk or detract from the deck, but adds protection, a kick stand, and slots for additional add-ons. My favorite is the fan which slides down to insert, has its own battery, and really does a great job in extracting heat (others have reviewed actual temp drops). The travel cover also fits amazingly well, with only slight concern that I might tweak the joysticks when removing. I always put it on when not in use, even when home. I do worry sometimes about inadvertently putting it on while the deck is actually running w/screen off, so just be mindful of that as it covers the top exhaust vent. I can't compare this to more expensive alternatives like the Killswitch but I can say that I really don't feel like I am missing anything and it's bananas cheaper, while still thoughtfully and precisely implemented. ... show more

  • Just a Dope product, also inexpensive
Color: Cooler Set
Love this product. Provides great protection, ergonomics, functionality, and just looks freaking cool. It’s an added bonus for being inexpensive compared to other competitors, while still feeling premium. It was super easy to install as advised. It does make the Steam Deck feel heavier, but i like that, it makes me feel like I have more control when I'm playing and sturdier. The fan is great at keeping it cool when playing AAA titles I was able to get maybe an extra hour+ on BG3. The fan is louder than the onboard fan but if your playing while family is watching tv, talking, or have your volume on 2/5 higher than off, you wont notice or care. The power-bank holder is cool too. As of now only having this a couple of days, I'm not mad at this product. This is only a bad product if extremely (like extremely) sensitive to any noise, added weight, or you would rather buy the most expensive product just to say you did (side eyeing that person); everyone else will love this. ... show more

  • Better than dBrand's Steam Deck KillSwitch Case Kit
Color: Cooler Set
I've had dBrand's Killswitch case (both the 1st OG iteration and the fixed version) for the Steam Deck for a while. It was solid, very good quality, but its high price (depending on if you get all of the accessories or not) makes it very difficult to recommend. As for the JSAUX mod case, I love the different options they offer. The most expensive option is more expensive than dBrand's Killswitch travel kit (if you get all the accessories) but JSAUX's most expensive mod case kit has more accessories that are much more useful like the fact that it can come with a battery bank, a cooling fan, a USB-C hub, etc. The kit I got was the cooler fan mod kit. It comes with a strap, the case, Steam Dock cover, travel cover, a 90 degree USB-C accessory, detachable metal stand, and a cooler fan with an adhesive attachment that lets you put the fan on a Steam Deck without the case. Costs 50 dollars US before taxes which is less than dBrand's most basic Killswitch essential kit that costs 60 dollars US. JSAUX's design is better than dBrand's. It's much easier to remove JSAUX's travel cover. There is cushioning inside the travel cover that will actually protect the Steam Deck screen better. You don't need a USB-C extender or adapter for the opening on the JSAUX case unlike with dBrand's case. JSAUX's metal stand is less bulky than dBrand's. It is detachable. It doesn't have microSD storage slots inside the stand like dBrand's stand does but if you have a JSAUX Steam Deck carrying case, then it doesn't matter. All JSAUX Steam Deck case mod kits comes with a strap that lets you put a battery bank on the back (no need for adhesive like dBrand's does. dBrand's mechanical mount is 14.95 US btw). I wanted the cooling fan because unfortunately my Steam Deck has the less efficient Delta fan inside. I would change the fan inside for the better Huaying fan but this is my 2nd Steam Deck. I'm afraid to open it up and mess it up again. The JSAUX cooler fan works. It is a bit noisy but if you have the sound volume high or let's say you have a tower fan blowing in your room, you're not really going to be bothered as much by the JSAUX fan. The grips on this case are just as good as the grips on dBrand's Killswitch case. 2 things I don't like about this specific kit is the fan can be a bit loud (as mentioned before) and it is a fingerprint magnet. You can see some of my fingerprints on the travel cover and on the back of the case in a couple of the pictures. Even the cooler fan is a fingerprint magnet so make sure to have a microfiber cloth on hand to wipe when need be. I'm not putting down dBrand. I like dBrand products. I'm still using dBrand's thumb stick grips (I like using them although maybe for a lot of people they are unnecessary) with my Steam Deck. But if you want a cheaper protective case for your Steam Deck that provides more bang for your buck, JSAUX's Steam Deck case kit is way better. Pros: more options, some options are much cheaper than dBrand's, more well thought out design/modular, less bulky, travel cover easier to remove, more bang for your buck, fan does help cool your Steam Deck Cons: cooler fan can be a bit loud, the travel cover + cooler fan + back of the case are fingerprint magnets EDIT: 9/7/2023 (more dBrand info) Before anybody tells me that dBrand has the dock adapter kit now, I see that they do offer that which includes a USB-C extender. Problem is that the adapter kit is an extra $7.95. I'm not a fan of that but at least they offer that now (even though you can get a USB-C extender for cheaper than that). Oh, apparently the adapter to fit your Steam Deck with the KillSwitch case doesn't automatically come with the essential kit. Come on dBrand. ... show more

  • Great product
Color: Cooler Set
I love this case. It feels very sturdy and its not uncomfortable to play portable. One of the main reasons I got this was that I found most cases to bulky to carry around in my backpack, but this snap on cover solves that issue for me where it fits in my bag better and I feel like its still getting great protection. Its easy to put on and add mods. The fan is a game changer when running games that can make the device run hot. My cousin liked mine so much that he went and bout the this same product for his steam deck as well. ... show more

  • Excellent! JSAUX customer service is great
Color: Cooler Set
I ordered one of the JSAUX ModCase with the fan and strap back in October 2025. First off, the strap is mostly useless. I doubt many people would want to strap something to the back of their steamdeck, especially if it's heavy like a battery. The fan really works well, but again it is pretty pointless if you already added a new JSAUX backplate and lowered voltages(plenty of tutorials online). It also partially attaches by some sticky pad on the fan, not a great design as you need to keep the plastic wrap to cover the sticky pad whenever you aren't using it or it'll get really dirty very quickly. It looks like the type of sticky pad that you can clean with a damp paper towel though. I'm still rating this 5 stars because the case itself is excellent. Very sturdy and better ergonomics but it does add a lot of weight to the steam deck unfortunately. Another issue might be the metal stand. Mine eventually lost all tension. This could be partly my fault as I have a tendency to keep opening and closing it while I play at times. I contacted JSAUX directly and they immediately sent me a link to order a new metal stand for free which arrived after 3 days. Amazing customer service. Hopefully the replacement stand lasts longer but it's nice to know that JSAUX covers their product's warranty. ... show more
