  • Better than dBrand's Steam Deck KillSwitch Case Kit
Color: Cooler Set
I've had dBrand's Killswitch case (both the 1st OG iteration and the fixed version) for the Steam Deck for a while. It was solid, very good quality, but its high price (depending on if you get all of the accessories or not) makes it very difficult to recommend. As for the JSAUX mod case, I love the different options they offer. The most expensive option is more expensive than dBrand's Killswitch travel kit (if you get all the accessories) but JSAUX's most expensive mod case kit has more accessories that are much more useful like the fact that it can come with a battery bank, a cooling fan, a USB-C hub, etc. The kit I got was the cooler fan mod kit. It comes with a strap, the case, Steam Dock cover, travel cover, a 90 degree USB-C accessory, detachable metal stand, and a cooler fan with an adhesive attachment that lets you put the fan on a Steam Deck without the case. Costs 50 dollars US before taxes which is less than dBrand's most basic Killswitch essential kit that costs 60 dollars US. JSAUX's design is better than dBrand's. It's much easier to remove JSAUX's travel cover. There is cushioning inside the travel cover that will actually protect the Steam Deck screen better. You don't need a USB-C extender or adapter for the opening on the JSAUX case unlike with dBrand's case. JSAUX's metal stand is less bulky than dBrand's. It is detachable. It doesn't have microSD storage slots inside the stand like dBrand's stand does but if you have a JSAUX Steam Deck carrying case, then it doesn't matter. All JSAUX Steam Deck case mod kits comes with a strap that lets you put a battery bank on the back (no need for adhesive like dBrand's does. dBrand's mechanical mount is 14.95 US btw). I wanted the cooling fan because unfortunately my Steam Deck has the less efficient Delta fan inside. I would change the fan inside for the better Huaying fan but this is my 2nd Steam Deck. I'm afraid to open it up and mess it up again. The JSAUX cooler fan works. It is a bit noisy but if you have the sound volume high or let's say you have a tower fan blowing in your room, you're not really going to be bothered as much by the JSAUX fan. The grips on this case are just as good as the grips on dBrand's Killswitch case. 2 things I don't like about this specific kit is the fan can be a bit loud (as mentioned before) and it is a fingerprint magnet. You can see some of my fingerprints on the travel cover and on the back of the case in a couple of the pictures. Even the cooler fan is a fingerprint magnet so make sure to have a microfiber cloth on hand to wipe when need be. I'm not putting down dBrand. I like dBrand products. I'm still using dBrand's thumb stick grips (I like using them although maybe for a lot of people they are unnecessary) with my Steam Deck. But if you want a cheaper protective case for your Steam Deck that provides more bang for your buck, JSAUX's Steam Deck case kit is way better. Pros: more options, some options are much cheaper than dBrand's, more well thought out design/modular, less bulky, travel cover easier to remove, more bang for your buck, fan does help cool your Steam Deck Cons: cooler fan can be a bit loud, the travel cover + cooler fan + back of the case are fingerprint magnets EDIT: 9/7/2023 (more dBrand info) Before anybody tells me that dBrand has the dock adapter kit now, I see that they do offer that which includes a USB-C extender. Problem is that the adapter kit is an extra $7.95. I'm not a fan of that but at least they offer that now (even though you can get a USB-C extender for cheaper than that). Oh, apparently the adapter to fit your Steam Deck with the KillSwitch case doesn't automatically come with the essential kit. Come on dBrand. ... show more

  • Just a Dope product, also inexpensive
Color: Cooler Set
Love this product. Provides great protection, ergonomics, functionality, and just looks freaking cool. It’s an added bonus for being inexpensive compared to other competitors, while still feeling premium. It was super easy to install as advised. It does make the Steam Deck feel heavier, but i like that, it makes me feel like I have more control when I'm playing and sturdier. The fan is great at keeping it cool when playing AAA titles I was able to get maybe an extra hour+ on BG3. The fan is louder than the onboard fan but if your playing while family is watching tv, talking, or have your volume on 2/5 higher than off, you wont notice or care. The power-bank holder is cool too. As of now only having this a couple of days, I'm not mad at this product. This is only a bad product if extremely (like extremely) sensitive to any noise, added weight, or you would rather buy the most expensive product just to say you did (side eyeing that person); everyone else will love this. ... show more

  • Perfect for me!
Color: Cooler Set
I spent a good deal of time looking for a protective case for my Steam Deck. I wanted one that looked nice, felt good and comfortable, while also actually providing protection to my device. This was the one I decided to go with. And I cannot be more happy with this purchase! It fit all the criteria I had for a protective case. It’s extremely simple to install, but even with the simplicity of the installation, it doesn’t take away from the protection it provides. It fits snugly onto my device, and secure all the vulnerable areas of the device. All while still providing you will so much area that is open to utilize buttons and screen area. The case doesn’t exactly hinder the performance of any games I have played, so far. But just in case it might, I did opt for the fan add-on accessory. So I keep it with me in my carrying case. This case definitely is t what I’d consider the “cheapest option” by any means. But if you have the money, and are looking for something that offers solid protection, and doesn’t make the device feel bulky or anything. Then this is a safe bet. It’s not exactly too expensive by any means either. It’s best to pay the few extra bucks for the added benefit of protection. It might save you more money in the long run with possible broken devices. Also with the color being black it makes it seem as if this is just part of the device. Overall I highly recommend this for anyone looking or in the market for a protective case! ... show more

  • Because Your Console Deserves to Chill
Color: Cooler Set
The protective case that’s cooler than a polar bear in sunglasses! 🐻🕶️ Seriously, this thing takes “keeping your cool” to a whole new level, and I can’t stop gushing about it! First off, let’s talk about the design. The ModCase looks so sleek and futuristic that I half-expect it to start playing “Danger Zone” every time I pick it up. It’s like dressing your Steam Deck in a tuxedo while adding a built-in air conditioner! I’m convinced my console feels like James Bond now, ready to save the gaming world one mission at a time. Now, the cooling fan—oh boy! This fan is like the best wingman at a party, making sure your device doesn’t overheat while you’re engaged in an epic 10-hour gaming marathon. I used to worry about my Steam Deck melting faster than ice cream in July, but now? It runs cooler than my ex’s excuses for why they “just couldn’t commit.” And let’s talk about the protective case and face cover. It’s like wrapping your console in bubble wrap, but way cooler (and less poppable). I’m not saying it’ll survive a fall from the Empire State Building, but if you drop it while reaching for your snack during a boss battle, you can rest easy knowing it’s well protected. My console could probably take a hit from Thor’s hammer and come out unscathed, thanks to this case! Installation? Piece of cake! Even my dog, who has mastered the art of chaotic distractions, couldn’t throw me off my game. In less time than it takes to queue up a new game, I had my ModCase on and ready for action. In conclusion, if you want to keep your Steam Deck cool and stylish while protecting it from the perils of everyday life, the ModCase with Cooling Fan is a must-have. It’s like the ultimate upgrade for your gaming experience—your Steam Deck will feel like it’s living its best life while you rack up those high scores! So go ahead, treat your console to this fashionable and functional accessory. It deserves it! 🎮❄️✨ ... show more

  • Great starter case
Color: Cooler Set
Great starter case for your steam deck. We'll made the grip is good the fan that comes with it is good. The kickstand broke after awhile but other than that it is a solid choice for a cheap and reliable steam deck case

  • The perfect case and accesories
Color: Cooler Set
I owned another protective case from JSAUX, it was great in feeling, but since you dont drop a steam deck anyway it had no other real use other than better grip This one.. it has everything i was looking for: - Better Grip: A mandatory addition, but you can get this with other cases. This one feels comfortable and grippy - Modular: The reason it is so great, every accesory is detachable. The cooling fan and the power bank strap cant be used simultaneously but its no problem. If i play using a docking station i install the fan, if i will be travelling in car or plane i install the strap (takes seconds) - Cooling Fan: Its awesome! You may have seen videos that cooling fans dont work on steam deck, but this one does. On midnight suns my SD gets heated, reaching 79°. In about 1 minute using the fan it drops to 70°, and in a couple minutes it drops to 63°. Great if you plan on keeping the device for long and prevent fps drops from heat or damage, although id say its not mandatory in general, and is more useful for more demanding games. You can adjust the fan speed/noise to your liking and the battery lasts many hours - Power Bank Strap: It has many adjustable sizes and its easy to carry, it doesnt use much space. I have not used it yet because i just got a power bank, but will be great in cars or planes - Back Support: It is nice to have if you want to play on the deck using controllers, or play a turn based game while you cook or do another activity. It also helps with ventilation over leaving the deck on its back If i had to list a minor complaint, the case sits close to the "menu" buttons on top, but you dont use those much in game so it doesnt bother me Otherwise, just perfect, everything i was looking for and from a trusted brand ... show more

  • Feels sturdy and looks great!!
Color: Cooler Set
These feel great on your steam deck, the nonslip grip paired with that extra layer of protection really increases the quality of the steam deck over all!! My only minor complaint is I’m a person who worries a lot and man, putting these on felt like forcing my steam deck into a spot it couldn’t fit. It gets nerve wracking around the triggers and bumpers because these protectors are built so good and sturdy, that they don’t bend or slightly flex to help the deck ease into the protector. if you aren’t paying attention the top of the cover will go in between the trigger and bumper and get a little snug in between the crease of the trigger and bumper and you’ll hear a pop and I thought I ripped out my bumper but it was just the top of the protector finally pushing into place. Besides maybe making it just a little easier to slip into, this is probably one of the best items you can get for the steam deck. ... show more

  • Excellent! JSAUX customer service is great
Color: Cooler Set
I ordered one of the JSAUX ModCase with the fan and strap back in October 2025. First off, the strap is mostly useless. I doubt many people would want to strap something to the back of their steamdeck, especially if it's heavy like a battery. The fan really works well, but again it is pretty pointless if you already added a new JSAUX backplate and lowered voltages(plenty of tutorials online). It also partially attaches by some sticky pad on the fan, not a great design as you need to keep the plastic wrap to cover the sticky pad whenever you aren't using it or it'll get really dirty very quickly. It looks like the type of sticky pad that you can clean with a damp paper towel though. I'm still rating this 5 stars because the case itself is excellent. Very sturdy and better ergonomics but it does add a lot of weight to the steam deck unfortunately. Another issue might be the metal stand. Mine eventually lost all tension. This could be partly my fault as I have a tendency to keep opening and closing it while I play at times. I contacted JSAUX directly and they immediately sent me a link to order a new metal stand for free which arrived after 3 days. Amazing customer service. Hopefully the replacement stand lasts longer but it's nice to know that JSAUX covers their product's warranty. ... show more
