This Air Force A-2 flight bomber jacket is made to the same unyielding standards as the authentic A-2 military version. Soft, durable genuine lamb touch supple nappa leather is sewn with dual entry pockets, plus ribbed cuffs and hem for optimal fit and comfort. Imprinted WWII U.S. flag lining. Insulated polyester filling adds extra warmth for winter. Suede leather version is also available.

Love the jacket. The communication, not-so-much

Jan 2024 update. I went to Seattle over the holidays to visit my daughter and we’ve had a few mornings in the 40s. (Orlando, FL). Love this jacket. High quality, well made, excellent fit per the size chart, and warm. I almost wish I had more opportunities. Almost. 🏖️ 😎 —— I had one like this stolen ~40 years ago when I was in college in Brooklyn. I couldn’t afford to replace it and moved to Daytona Beach right after graduation. I’ve always wanted another one. Jensen Huang and an offer from my wife for Father’s Day finally got me to move on it. I was very much looking forward to trying it on when it got here. I got it tonight. This jacket is really well made, comfortable, a perfect fit using the sizing chart (a visual would help with the arm instructions), and will do well for most cold days in most parts of the country. I’ll probably get 15, maybe 30 days a year here in Orlando, FL if I push it. I may have to. The jacket looks sharp, too. I do really like it, like 6-stars!, and appreciate the company’s response to my “Signature Required” problem below. (I apologize for coming across irritated. I was). I can’t let this affect the rating I gave. Still, 5-stars. I am sharing for prospective customers and Amazon to know. I came home early afternoon, missed the UPS driver by like 10 minutes, and found a sticker on the door, “Signature Required”. I had to drive to a CVS the next day to pick it up. Disappointing, inconvenient, and annoying. I drive up there after I get done working (9 PM today, my day started at the gym at 5 AM), present the UPS ticket, and the lady asks me for my name , then my ID. The ticket states, bring this ticket to CVS, signature required. Nothing about ID required. Also annoying. Actually, I don’t care one way or the other on either of these. Just let me know is all I ask. I had to go back out to the Explorer for that, back into the store, and back on line. We’ve been Amazon customers since 2001 and had well over a thousand delivers. I don’t recall one ever missing, many costing more, nor any requiring a signature. We live in a great neighborhood and city. I’m thankful for that. I understand that this is the company policy. That’s cool. I don’t understand how it’s not disclosed anywhere. I could have had it shipped to the office, like I do wines.com. I could have arranged for my wife or me to work from home that day. Sports, please add that to the listing in a prominent and sensible place, like in the description or near the shipping. Amazon, please add a “Signature Required” option for sellers and a notice prominently displayed to buyers alongside the shipping information. Thank you.

Great Air Force Leather Flight Bomber Jacket!!!

Background: I'm currently in the Military. I work on an Air Force Base. I have compared this to the military issue Flight Bomber Jacket. I have conducted an extensive web and physical store search before buying this jacket. The Flight Bomber Jacket arrived on time and on target during the Christmas season delivery schedule. This is a very authentic Air Force style Leather Flight Bomber Jacket! I have had it 3 weeks and I keep getting asked on base where did I get the jacket. I have had several compliments on the look and authentic style of the jacket. They first touch the jacket for the feel and then ask to try it on. It looks great with Khaki dress pants as well as jeans. It's a heavy weight leather but not so heavy that it feels bulky. I live in MA and have worn it during extreme cold and inclement weather and it keeps me warm. I love the functionality of the pockets. The hand warmer pockets work and the inside breast pocket is large enough to hold a pen and pencil set as well as eye glass cleaner towel and bose in ear buds leather case without showing any buldge from the outside of the jacket. Plus there is still more room if I wanted to put more in this pocket. The fit is perfect. I wear a XXL and this jacket is designed to sit at the natural waistline. I have large shoulders and arms and it fits like an athletic cut jacket. This jacket is breaking in nicely. The interior Air Force Patch and American Flag add to the patriotism and nostalgia of the Greatest Generation.The button snaps on the pockets and collar are sturdy and the jacket holds its form well when on a hanger. BLUF: I'm very happy with my purchase. This was worth the money and will continue to be my go to jacket. If you're a fan of the classic American Military style, then this is a must have!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the distressed version. It came out almost like suede. The smell of the leather products is very overpowering. I could not wear it for more than a few minutes. It is a bit better after a month. The leather is very thin if you compare it to goat or horse. I believe this is very stretched and pounded cow hide. I am surprised to say that this brand actually runs a bit big. It is not a bad jacket. Just not a forever leather jacket. If you are looking for a legacy type jacket, this is not it. But it is comfortable and looks the part. It is not for cold weather. Best to wear layers with this. I wish I would have purchased the non-distressed version. I was not expecting a suede-like jacket. The epaulets are fixed at both ends. So if you are planning to wear this as a uniform jacket, you will need velcro epaulets. The hand pockets are great.

This is my second order from this company. One jacket for me and the other was a gift for my son. Both jackets where very well made and looked really nice. The jacket that was a gift for my son took a while to get to me but because of the good communication from the company I was able to determine that the lateness was of no fault to the store. It was an error on the part of UPS and Amazons communication system. But in any case, I did get both jackets ordered and all is well. Both my son and I love the jackets.
