I've purchased 10 of these (4x2) to replace my previous wood raised beds (8x4). The 10 of these seem to have the same space as the 4 previous ones once you've accounted for the curved portions. Decent quality, but manage your expectations. It was easy to assemble, I did it with a 1/4" impact driver and pliers for speed, but you could do it with a screwdriver. The rolled top edge isn't sharp, so it's safe. However, the corners and non-rolled edges will cut you quick. Once assembled, the top portion at the corners where edges meet don't always align properly and often are not tight fitting because the bold is much lower than the top edge. To fix, I placed 1/8" pop rivets at the top to join the panels tightly. I used a hand sheet metal punch to make it easier. After that, I used tin snips and a file to bring any high spots down and smooth them out. Last, I place small bits around 4") of rubber u-channel with adhesive over the joints It's a bit of extra work and materials, but I find it makes its much safer. ... show more

I looked at a lot of raised bed options, and I decided on these because they were large, made of materials that won't rot after a few years, and they are very reasonably priced. I bought the 2-pack of the 8x4x1 beds. I couldn't believe how small the box was when it arrived. The pieces went together easily with a portable impact driver and crescent wrench. It was light enough for me to stand in the middle and lift from each side and walk it to where I wanted it. Bonus feature, I was able to stack one on the other, overlapping half of the bolt holes, to achieve an 18" deep bed rather than 12" bed. I sent a question to the seller about the hardware used, and they replied promptly with an answer. Very happy with this purchase, and looking forward to my first venture into vegetable gardening! ... show more

I really like these raised beds. I started out with 2 and I ended up buying 2 more. They look nice and are sturdy once they have soil in them. They are also very easy to assemble which is a plus!

While a bit tedious to assemble, it isn't difficult at all. Everything went together easily and there were extra pieces of hardware for the occasional bad thread encountered. Once assembled, they look great. About 5 bags (1.5 cf) of soil in each of the 2x4 units and they are ready for use.
