This was the perfect white elephant gift, it's small and super cute. Unfortunately, ours did not come with seeds! Now I have to pay an extra $9.00 to get chia seeds sent to me. Kind of a big bummer since it was a gift.

I adore having this little piece in my house! I have never really been good at growing things, and I never owned a chia pet growing up, but when I saw thing I knew he was the perfect one for me if I was ever going to have one! Follow the directions closely and you won't have any issue growing him. The biggest addition I have to it is in the first week of waiting for things to sprout, is if you have a mini reptile carrier of some kind, the carrier base fits perfectly over him without touching anything, and will create a greenhouse effect for the seeds to pop quicker. I would leave it over him during the day sometimes by a window, but even just doing it at night helped a lot too. After they start popping there is not much to do and it really takes off! ... show more
