I love this mat! My dog typically eats his food in seconds and will choke a lot of times. This has slowed him down a lot. He eats slower with this can any of his slow feeders. In fact, sometimes he will leave food in the mat and go back to it a bit later. He really craves something to do all hours of the day and night so this is just a little extra something to help keep him enriched! Definitely recommend!

My GSD puppy gets so excited when I get this out. We initially bought it as a toy for focusing some energy. We've moved to feeding him using the mat. He tends to inhale food in a dish but this slows him down and makes a game out of it. We don't put all of his food in the mat at one time, but instead portion it out and let him search until he's finished. He lets us know when he's ready for us to refill it. We've found he enjoys this feeding method.

The media could not be loaded. Murph loves snuffle mat snack time!! You can see that from the video posted — he’s gettin’ in there! We’ve used this several times so far and he hasn’t tired of it yet! The treats might have something to do with that, too. 😉 We use Lucy Treats ripped up into tiny pieces, or kibble, or Etta Says Sit treats, or ripped up fresh cooked chicken. Takes him about 5-10 minutes to get through each time (depending on how much stuff we use!) and he is very thorough! I did put a few pieces under the mat to see if he could tell the difference, and yes, he can. He just pushed the mat aside lol Right out of the box I noted the nice, sturdy quality. Nice, thick strands and doesn’t slide around on the floor much as it is big enough for Murph to stand on with his front paws to root around. Love how this is machine washable, too! Already washed it twice. We did not let it air dry though, because our water is on the hard side and towels, etc that get air dried are stiff and hard, and not in a good way. Just air dried in dryer with some woolen tumble dryer balls, and it was good as new! Or, you can air dry in the nice warm sun. I heard something about the sun doing something to bacteria… 🤷🏻♀️ We did not buy it for the suction cups, so I can’t really comment on how it worked in conjunction with the mat. I did test one of the cups, and I will say that because our floor has some texture in it, the suction cups did not get “sucky” at all. HOWEVER, I also tried it on our very smooth quartz countertop, just one — and boy did it suck hard LOL Even without screwing the little knob down, it sucked. I just slapped that thing on the surface, and “Suuuck!” If you want an even harder suck, you might try wetting the bottom first… Don’t forget to clean it once in a while to get rid of the dust and dirt that inevitably accumulates… So, recap: good quality… Hard and stiff after washing if not dried… Suck power… wet it before use for best suck… lasts 5-10 minutes… … Wait… what was I reviewing again? 😂 Riiight —- the snuffle mat!! You dirty birds!! All in all, it’s a great investment if your dog likes treats and fun little activities like this! Would buy again!

I think my dog likes to sniff in the little tufts to find her treats. I have a 16 1/2 yrs old female Westie who can't see or hear well at all. So I needed something else to entertain her with at different times. I won't let her run in the house anymore as she might run into the walls or furniture and hurt herself or worse. so finding things that can entertain her and give her some brain action too is good. The only thing negative I have to say is the suction cups don't stick to my wood floor but to me they aren't really needed. It does't move on the floor and I do place it on the carpet too. NO problems. I'm happy all in all with the mat :) I haven't washed it yet so really no comment on that. :)

The media could not be loaded. Product was perfect to teach bottle puppies to use their noses and work their brains. Very pleased. It is challenging to wash as it absorbed a lot of water and even after an extra spin cycle, it was too heavy to place in dryer so we hand to hang it to dry.

My dog really loves this snuffle mat. He has 2, the other one is the round kind with the little flaps inside. I feed him his meals in both of them daily. It gets him super fired up and he will happily snuffle for 30-45 minutes. It seems to be very enriching for him and he gets a lot of enjoyment from it. The product itself is well constructed, and it's easy to put in the washer. He prefers this "bristle" style of mat better than the "flap" kind, it does a better job of hiding the kibble if you work it into the mat. It's big enough that he will stand inside the mat and snuffle lol. The only downside is that he has started to rip the "bristles" out, and they can be ripped out with some force. This isn't a fault on the product, however, I just think sometimes they get in the way and he wants to rip them out.

My puppy absolutely loves snuffing out his treats/kibble when I am working from home. It is a great addition to meal time that slows down his eating and also provides enrichment. It is a very nice mat at a good price and comes with suction cups to secure the mat to the floor. Unfortunately for my puppy, even at 10 weeks old, he bit/broke through the plastic of the suction cups removing that feature. He is now a few months older and has figured out that all he has to do is chew at the suction cups until the come off the floor and then flip the mat until the food falls out. Regardless of how long it lasts, he really loves this mat and does provide a lot of fun for him but wish that the suction cups were a tougher rubber/silicon instead of a hard plastic so they didn't break so easily from puppy chewing.
