Finally found what needed for old lamp. It made my lamps look brand new and saved my money. I had old lamps in great condition. Only lamp shades were damaged. It was easy to install and clean. It’s pretty sturdy and holding it great after using it over 2 years now.

I'm extremely satisfied with these lamp shades. I wanted black, but was also hoping that the black didn't keep light from shining through. As you can see in the pic, that is not a problem with these lamp shades. They allow plenty of light to shine through into the room. I added the gold accent along the bottom myself with washi tape, because gold and black lamp shades were significantly more money. These do require assembly, but it's very easy to do and only took a few minutes. These were exactly what I was looking for, and are of great quality for the price. ... show more

… the lampshades arrived in a small flat box. But, Amazon usually comes through so I thought “Maybe you just pop the lampshades open somehow and it’ll be fine.” Narrator: “That was not the case.” The lampshades arrived, completely dissembled, with assembly instructions. The actual fabric of the shade was rolled up in plastic and already had threads hanging off it. The metal parts were all separated in the box. AND the directions included the words paste! As in, PASTE the edges of the lampshade together. That’s when I knew it was going back. I would literally rather pay twice the price of these at Lowes and have them come assembled rather than take a chance, messing up the assembly of this, and then not being able to return it. ... show more

I was surprised when this packaged arrived flat. I didn't know that there would be assembly required. That's no biggie, because the assembly was easy. The design for these lampshades is a very clever idea, but since you can see the little fasteners showing through the lampshades, it kind of looks cheap. Granted, they weren't expensive, but there was so much work put into this nifty concept, they should have taken things a bit further and perhaps used clear plastic to attache the shade to the two piece frame. I'm going to paint the lampshade a darker color anyway, so it will all work out. Great for the price. ... show more

These lamp shades are really nice for the price. I was so impressed with my first order I ordered two more sets. I had no trouble assembling them at all without having gaps or wrinkles. As other reviews have said, they are not as beautiful as shades that you pay maybe hundreds for in stores, but they are great for households like mine. ... show more

I'm happy enough with them to keep them, but if you're a perfectionist you might not be satisfied with them. Putting them together was easier than I thought, but there isn't the same sturdiness as a traditional lampshade. It's not super noticeable, but there are very slight warping in the fabric since there's no solid backing. Otherwise they look nice and it's good enough for the lamps they are on. ... show more
