To be fair it does say in the description assembly required. I guess I missed that. Comes in a very small box. It is easy to assemble. Not sure the quality is the same as an assembled shade because the fabric is rolled up and not really stiff. Just understand what ur getting before u buy.

These shades are different. Never had to put a lamp shade together before. I used one of them. And the other is still in the box. It worked on a small lamp which needed a new shade.

After assembling the shade, there was just a little ripple effect where it Velcros together. I turned the seam to the rear and most people won’t notice.

I really, really wanted to like these. We move often so the idea of a collapsible lamp shade was appealing. They assembled within seconds and they’re sturdy… but they just look so cheap. The light shining through shows where all the clips are and it just doesn’t look right. If your lamp is decorative and you rarely turn it on, these shades are probably fine. But we use this lamp daily and the clips are an eyesore. Sadly, these had to be returned. ... show more
