    • I switched from a Dyson to this Laifen Hair Dryer

I purchased a Dyson in August of 2021 for 399. What I loved about the Dyson was its ability beyond any other dryer to keep my hair from looking frizzy in the summer, and its ability to keep shine. However, my Dyson started not working properly, and so I had to make a switch. I did not want to spend another 399.00 on a dryer that only lasted two years, so I purchased The Laifen. The Laifen is an excellent alternative to the Dyson for several reasons! (1) It weighs less. This allows for more fluid movement of the hairdryer as opposed to sometimes feeling like I am flinging it if I am using my non-dominant hand. (2) Each dryer as a nozzle/vent on the bottom that must be opened up and cleaned out. On older Dyson model, this was tricky and a pain, because if everything wasn't put back just so, it simply wouldn't work. This Laifen model actually has a nice magnetic nozzle screen vent, making getting it off and on super easy. Simply wipe out the dust, return it, and it magnetically clips back into place. (3) The Dyson chord was superrr long. This might be great if you have a large room with only one plug that is far away from your mirror, or work on a salon, but the average person does not need that much chord (and it's heavy and bulky) so traveling with the dryer simply because of the chord and its weight was a pain. The Laifen's chord is long, but lighter weight and a much more reasonable length. (4) The Dyson running with other hot appliances kicked my circuit here at my apartment, but the Laifen did not. However, my hair did not notice the difference in drying time or length with one being less wattage or less powerful than the other. They dry hair the same way in about the same amount of time. If both dryers were the same, I personally would still choose the Laifen. I have noticed no change in how it drys my hair, it has the same attachments, it's easier to clean and weighs less, and best of all, I have money left over to use for other things! ... show more

As someone who relies heavily on their hair dryer for daily styling routines, I was initially thrilled with the Laifen. Its sleek design, powerful airflow, and efficient drying capabilities made it an indispensable tool in my beauty arsenal. However, my once beloved hairdryer has now become a source of immense frustration and disappointment. Less than a year after purchasing this hairdryer, it has inexplicably stopped working. The sudden malfunction has left me feeling not only dissatisfied but also deeply upset. Given the premium price point of the Laifen, I expected a level of durability and longevity that this product has failed to deliver. What truly exacerbates my disappointment is the fact that I had grown accustomed to the exceptional performance of this hairdryer. Its ability to swiftly dry my hair while minimizing heat damage was unparalleled. I had come to rely on it for achieving salon-quality results from the comfort of my own home. Unfortunately, the premature breakdown of this appliance has shattered my confidence in the Laifen. I loved my Dyson until it fizzled out and I could not justify the replacement expense. I have had the Pearl White for about a month. It came in beautiful packaging-wow! What I love compared to Dyson: Equally as fast, fairly quiet and the shorter cord. You need nothing longer for at home use and I no longer wrestle with it as the long cords twist. It's lighter weight and a bit smaller than Dyson. Perfect for travel. The adaptor on the cord is less clunky. I have both nozzles-one for quick overall drying and one for direct styling. The color ring for the temperature settings is brilliant. The control buttons are easy to use and well positioned. The only con is that the attachments get slighter hotter than the Dyson but it's not bothersome. Save yourself some money and order this hair dryer! ... show more

The first dryer I order would NOT turn on. I put blame on the manufacturer. The replacement I reordered arrived with both the outer box and the product box very damaged (I blame Amazon). The unit itself wasn't damaged and worked fine but I had to put the diffuser back together. Ugh. Do better LAIFEN and Amazon! ... show more

    • Shortens drying time
My coworker was discussing with me about how his wife’s 400 dollar Dyson worked great because of how fast it dried her hair. Being hesitant, I waited and this item went on sale for prime day so I jumped on the deal. In comparison to my 15 dollar blow drier it is a night and day difference. I have long thick curly hair a little shorter than the middle of my back. I have to say this thing completely dried my hair in under 15 minutes (I timed it). Combining this with an absorbent hair towel it now takes me under 10 minutes to dry my hair. The packaging feels like an Apple product because it is so elegant. It is extremely quiet, blows enough air on the high setting, very light. The attachments being magnetic are so satisfying that you don’t have to fiddle with them clipping on. I brought with me on my trip to visit family internationally and have no complaints. My favorite feature has to be the temperature as you can press and hold the temperature for a few seconds until the led light begins to change colors on its own and it will cycle from high heat to cold automatically. Makes drying my hair actually enjoyable. I no longer go to bed with wet hair. Beats spending 400 dollars for the Dyson product ... show more
