Put me up next to where I needed to work. The fit on my extension ladder was not perfect but it was stable. Lifting the ladder up with the Ladder-Max it a bit difficult since it puts the ladder out of balance but if you handle it carefully you can get it up.

    • Added stability with easy on and off
This is a game changer for gutter cleaning or any other roof work. Keeps my ladder off the gutters ( no more scratches) while allowing me more reach for less ladder repositioning. Heck of a lot safer too! Doesn’t add much weight but it is noticeable. Very easy to put on and take off.

    • EXCELLENT.... BUT...
This stabilizer is fantastic and works exactly as well as virtually everyone says that it does. HOWEVER, I had a bit of a scare while I was about 20 feet in the air today with my extension ladder at its max (I was about 3 quarters of the way up). The orange feet came right off. Luckily it didn't dramatically affect the stability of the ladder and I was able to recover them from the roof (they fell in the gutter), but it was certainly unnerving to say the least. I noticed prior that they were flexing and looked like they could fall off, but I assumed that they would hold. Nope. I recommend that everyone who owns this to squeeze some industrial hot glue into the orange feet and then quickly jam them back onto their post and hold it for 15 or 20 seconds. This will reduce the amount of "wiggle room" for the feet, so even if a great amount of pressure is applied, they no longer flex. I'm surprised that no one else has encountered this. I'm only about 170lbs, so its not like I'm some big fatty stretching these things to their limits. USE HOT GLUE OR EPOXY and what happened to me will never happen to you. ... show more

    • The seller's ad on Amazon states the it will fit all extension ladders.
Not exactly fits all extension ladders. My extension ladder has wide legs attachments for both ends for added stability. To fit this device, I had to remove the extension on one end, and then brackets on ladder ends prevented an install so I had to step it down one step. Then the steps on my extension ladder were too large to use the device attachment safety bracket and pin. So, for a DIY, I improvised with a strap with a tightening mechanism. I was this 'I' far from sending it back for a refund. Amazon sellers have to get better about advertising their products. So, I am here to tell you. Update: Do not use this on a hot roof; i.e., maybe any bright sunny day during temperatures over 70*-75*, and do not let the ladder pads hit the roof on landing. Ease the landing on the asphalt shingles or you may cause damage to heated, soft shingles. ... show more

    • Adds safety to tall ladders
Using on a Werner 28' extension ladder cleaning gutters on a 2 story house. With this design there is little chance for any side slip. Feels very secure. Have no problem with any roof shingle damage. Take your time to figure out how to position it correctly. Great product.

Great for roofing. The ones you buy at Home Depot are so wide, you will hit the gutter. These work great because they sit on the roof without hitting the gutter.
