Description

A dark and violent crime thriller set against the backdrop of 1940’s Los Angeles. Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core. Utilizing revolutionary facial animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire blends the breathtaking action of chases and shootouts with true detective work for an unprecedented interactive experience. Solve brutal crimes, plots and conspiracies inspired by real crimes from 1947 Los Angeles, one of the most corrupt and violent times in L.A. history. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.

  • A Masterpiece of Storytelling and Atmosphere
Having played L.A. Noire on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, I can confidently say that this game is a standout in the world of interactive entertainment. Here’s why: Pros: Immersive Storyline: The narrative is gripping, with twists and turns that keep you hooked from start to finish. Set in 1940s Los Angeles, the game captures the noir feel perfectly. The attention to detail in the story and character development is top-notch. Stunning Graphics: The game's visuals are impressive, especially considering its initial release date. The remastering for Xbox One enhances the already rich environments, making the city of Los Angeles come alive with authenticity and atmosphere. Innovative Gameplay: The investigation mechanics, including interrogations and clue-finding, are unique and engaging. The facial animation technology is groundbreaking, allowing for nuanced performances from the characters that add depth to the gameplay. Variety of Cases: From traffic to homicide, the variety of cases you tackle keeps the gameplay fresh and challenging. Each case is meticulously crafted, offering a mix of action, puzzle-solving, and detective work. Soundtrack and Voice Acting: The period-appropriate soundtrack and stellar voice acting enhance the overall experience. The music sets the perfect tone, while the voice actors deliver compelling performances that draw you into the story. Cons: Pacing: Some players might find the pacing slow at times, especially if they're used to more action-packed games. However, the deliberate pacing adds to the authenticity and immersion of the detective experience. Conclusion: L.A. Noire is a masterpiece that combines compelling storytelling, impressive visuals, and innovative gameplay. • Fantastic game, highly recommend
This was a gift for my best friend as a christmas gift in 2018. After hearing me talk about it she wanted to try it for herself. I've played this game originally years ago and to this day it's one of my all time favorites. The story is fantastic and the characters are great. The game play is really in depth and the 40s scenery, fashion, and aesthetics are wonderful. I also recommend watching behind the scenes filming of the mocap, hearing the actors talk about how they were able to still identify places and the streets of L.A. even in the 40s is cool and watching how they went about capturing scenes. All in all please play this game. Fans of any genre can like it. ... show more

  • Terrific all around
I got this for my son, he's been saving his money and this video game has been on his wish list for a while. It came exactly when it was expected to arrive,he kept checking the tracking data to be sure! The package was pristine and in perfect condition, the product was exactly what he was looking for. As far as the game goes, he has been playing it for 2 days now, so I take that as a good sign. ... show more

  • Excellent game, lackluster remaster
This is definitely one of those games you have to play at least once. For a remaster, this game doesn't impress, even for that era it came out in.

  • Ok Game
Fast and Easy Ordering/Delivery -- Overall the Game is Ok -- it does take a little bit to get comfortable with the controller, the story line is Ok, kinda slow, the graphics are not that great (it's more cartoonish), -- Don't believe I'll finish the game, but it is a nice back-up game if I didn't have anything else to play -- Overall, it's Ok -- If I would have rented it first, I would not have bought it -- The life of a Gamer.... ... show more

  • Envolvente e interesante
... show more
