I bought these knifes in May 2023, since then the have chipped into my food as I’ve used them. I contacted Kyocera and the warranty that they offer for a 3 year replacement or refund will not be honored because I bought them on AMAZON….. now AMAZON will no honor the manufacturer warranty because the AMAZON warranty is only 30 days on a defective or damaged product. Needless to say I’m going to put a claim in with the BBB as well as contact some legal representation to handle this matter. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! Amazon is ripping you off and not caring for their so called prime members………this is absolutely not acceptable. ... show more

VERY sharp (watch out fingers!!) but if you are cutting fat away from a bone, be careful because these knives chip out super-easily. They are still usable but for the price I expect them to hold up better. On the positive side, I needed sharp knives, and these are sharper than any knives I've ever used. ... show more

These knives are wonderful for slicing tomatoes, meats (that have no bone in them or are frozen) and other vegetables , etc. They are razor blade sharp so be extremely careful when using them. I have gifted to many friends and they also love them.

Hello! These are not general purpose knives which is why I don't consider them a good gift. For vegetables, breads and boneless meats the sharpness and thinness are impossible to beat with a metal knife. They can not be sharpened so NEVER cut on hard surfaces or hard materials. They are close to glass in terms of durability. If you drop them...broken or chipped. Twist them...broken or chipped. So, add them to your tool box and use them for what they are best for! ... show more
