Finally found a case that works for me. Its thin, folds like a book, and most importantly --- the magnets do not affect the screen. That was an issue I found on a number of failed attempts, I would get "dead spots" on my screen that I thought was the device. Overall, very good looking case, easy to hold, works well, protects the device, and holds the pen firmly. Hopefully i will not have to buy it again, but if I do, i will.

I’ve been waiting a bit to write this review because I wanted to use the scribe for length of time before offering up my experience. I have to say, this is one of the best purchases I made in a long time. Unfortunately, because of an incident I had in my home, I had to throw away all of my books in my library. The amount of books I had was pretty significant. I never wanna have to do that again. So I decided to get the scribe and rebuild my library. It is so easy to use, very easy to navigate, does not hurt my eyes, works well inside or outside day or night, And is big enough to feel like a physical book. It is pretty sturdy and not that heavy. My one suggestion, definitely buy your own cover for it to be on the safe side. The pen works wonderful, easy to use, and has an authentic feel of either a pen, pencil, or highlighter. I would suggest upgrading to the pro as it’s a little bit easier to use. Lastly, with the help of the website, it’s super easy to send PDF or books to your scribe from either your phone or your computer. It takes a few minutes to update, but nothing too long. I would say, if you were really looking to have a library and digital form, to be able to have all your books with you at all times, and be able to take notes, journal, draw, or whatever you usually do in a notebook, this is a great Purchase. Sometimes it goes on sale, so keep your eyes out for that. But if it were me, I would definitely bring this into my home.

This case seems very sturdy and provides good protection for the Kindle. The screen, edges, and corners all appear to be well protected. I do wish the prop functionality worked better. The front cover folds to provide a prop stand for reading, but the weight of the Kindle will make the magnets collapse in certain configurations. I like the looks of the case, and the ridges on the cover make it grippy on smoother surfaces, which I really like. If the prop was stronger and held at multiple angles, this case would be perfect.

I see a lot of negative reviews because of the cutouts being in the wrong place. They actually are not in the wrong place! The small one next to the charger cutout is for the charge indicator light. There's no cutout for the power button because it automatically wakes up when you open it, which defeats the purpose of having to press the power button. Anyhow, I looked for a long time for a well priced, good quality cover for my Scribe and I'm so glad I didn't let the reviews deter me this one! It's well made, sturdy, it looks sleek, no cheap logos plastered across the front it's wipeable/easy to clean, and I love the different ways you can prop your Scribe up. There's a perfect spot for your pen and it's easy to get in and out. It doesn't feel like you're going to bust your pen shoving it in there like my last case. Take a chance on this! You'll be glad you did, especially because it's like half the price of most other Scribe cases. It's a great one!

I am so happy I saw this Scribe cover. The one I got when I purchased my Scribe opened up and over the top, with the pencil at the bottom. It's a horrible design and the tablet just sits in it loosely. It fell out on more than one occasion and it's amazing the tablet wasn't damaged. This one is a much better design. The tablet sits firmly into it and the pencil has a slot at the right. I love it! Also, one of my biggest complaints about the Scribe has been that anytime my fingers hit the edges of the screen, it would jump a page or more, forward or backward. It was very frustrating. It's not doing that now with this new case. Highly recommended.

I like that this cover also protects the pen tip via the hard shell edges. I didn't like the idea of storing the pen in an exposed loop like other covers do. The thought of a crooked nib irks me, and I didn't want to go searching around for a pen cap. The materials feel okay, not exactly premium, but does serve its purpose. The edges and corners are a hard plastic and so I'm fairly confident about the structure. The back cover feels kind of rubbery in the hands, whereas the front cover is a fibery feeling pleather. The unfortunate part of the front cover is that they used this same material for the hinges. The main issue I have with this cover is that the hinges that open and close the cover are a little too floppy. Meaning that when you're reading with this cover on, the cover doesn't always line up with the magnet in a secure manner, and so sometimes you'll find the cover flopping around when simply reading a book. A little annoying when you find your attention is being drawn away from a good book just to line up the cover with the magnet. The origami standing features look a little sketchy, but it hasn't tipped over on me from the time I spent with it. This is a 3-star cover, and it's priced just right, and so I'm satisfied with it.

I have tried other cases. Some swivel from portrait to landscape, but they are heavy in comparison. Also, others have top covers that close but often do not turn OFF the Scribe off reliably. This case is light. The cover closes on top of two well positioned magnets providing a positive audible, snapping, closure. The origami cover provides for portrait and landscape standing positions easily. The top cover closes back and there is a part that folds allowing me to hold the Scribe on my palm and read. The pen holder provides for pen to be push out, but I find that it's easier to place the side of your finger against the pen and roll the pen out by sliding the finger up. The cover absorbs moisture: A concern is whether it is easily stained. I am enjoying my Scribe with a new experience: This case is refreshing.
