I bought this because the ice maker in our fridge doesn’t seem to have a way to change the filter and the ice doesn’t always taste good. Especially since it’s made from tap water. I like filtered water and using tap water ice makes it not as good. So I bought this to make filtered ice. I like that it makes ice pretty quickly. What I don’t like is that it doesn’t keep the ice cold inside the machine so if I don’t get up and dump the ice into the freezer bin immediately it starts melting. And even when I do dump it as soon as it’s made it’s still very wet and clumps all together in the ice bin in the freezer. When we go to get ice it’s all frozen together and has to be smashed apart which is loud. ... show more

I love this countertop ice maker. It makes ice pretty quickly. And if I leave the ice maker running overnight while I sleep, there’s a full bucket of perfect ice in the morning!! It does not melt like some other reviewers said. We had a bigger ice machine for about 2 years. Then it just gave out. Finally purchased this little one. I thought at first it wasn't gonna be as good but it's definitely working. I've gotta have my ice! I actually really like it. Gonna purchase another one for our work breakroom!

I like the bigger ice it makes. The ice still turns out watery and clumps together when I put it in a bag in my freezer. I also was hoping it would be quieter than another one I purchased and returned. My big complaint is the directions were very dirty, pages were sticking together, I wiped them gently with a damp towel to clean black off before I touched them to read them. Thankfully the unit was clean and appears to be new, since I purchased a new unit, a little confused as to why the directions were so filthy. ... show more
