I kayaked when I was younger. My husband kayaked growing up. We both recently took up rowing and thought this may be a good way to get our kiddos involved with us too. I.E. my husband taking them to kayak while I have the day off. The entire kayak and set comes in a relatively small package as you can see from my first pic. It is great looking and functional. I should note that it took 2.5 Adults 30 minutes to assemble. Mostly because the pump provided was slow going and since I was reviewing this product, I insisted they use that pump. We own some electric ones which would have made the project go much faster. Out in nature, that may not be an option. Still, I think it beats out having to tow a full-sized kayak and store it. I included a picture with my kiddos in it to get a better idea of how large it is. That reminds me, no one was able to figure out where the third section was supposed to be. Lastly, it took 20 minutes to disassemble and store. That was much easier. Again, it was a matter of the air. As for how well it works, well I was unable to get it on water since it won't stop raining here. Perhaps in a few weeks that will happen, and I can update this review. ... show more

This thing is heavy duty. It’s a hard inflatable.. kinda like the same material as one of those inflatable SUPs in that way it doesn’t feel like a toy. I got this for my daughter and her friends to use when we have family snorkeling trips to the keys (I’d just tow behind my pedal kayak). The canopy is great to keep the sun off the kids, and the weight capacity means you can pile pretty much everything you/your kids need. It’s super stable too, which is a huge plus. This thing is pretty nice for the price. Seems quite durable to me. I'm a big guy so I use it as a single. The canopy is nice and does not interfere with paddling, at least for me sitting in the middle. Came with a carrying bag that works. Also came with a hand pump that works but I use an electric one that I already had. It comes with 2 paddles that are serviceable but I use a nice one that I already had. There is great value here as two people can be on the water for this low price in only 2 days if you got prime shipping. ... show more

As soon as I received this, I opened it and set it up out in the yard to see how it was constructed and the quality of the kayak. It is a very nice unit, and it will serve its mission well, as soon as the weather breaks and I can take it out on the water. The materials are high quality and put together very well. The canopy is a great extra, and it is easy to put on and take off. Two of us sat in it and it seats two average sized adults comfortably. I ordered this Inflatable Kayak for our summer vacation on the lake. I think the grandkids will love it! We opened up the package and inflated the canoe. We (2 adults) sat in it and it seemed reasonably comfortable. It certainly will be easier to transport to the water than our old aluminum canoe! The kayak comes with two paddles and a very nice canopy (which is removable). I only gave four stars since we haven't actually used the kayak yet. My husband (a venerable canoeist) is a little skeptical about how well it will hold up. Even if it's just for the week, it will be worth it.
