This is a great Kayak. I have used other kayaks in the past, but not a fishing kayak. This is very stable and I have used it in choppy water. The kayak tracks well, and is fast for big wide flat fishing kayak. You wont be winning any races, but you will be able to maintain a trolling speed. Just like any sit on kayak you're going to get a little wet, even with scrubber plugs. Your butt is gonna get wet. I understand other people are upgrading the seat with a stadium seat, but the factory setup is sufficient for me anyways, who knows maybe i'll also upgrade. I did add an anchor, and trolley system, and really makes this an even better fishing vessel. There are some no motor lakes, streams, and rivers and this thing will float 200ibs in just a few inches of water!! I do like small personal boats, as you can get into some places that most people wouldn't be able to fish from either shore, or in a bigger motor boat. The paddle that came with it is pretty flimsy, and short. So order yourself a longer "fishing Paddle" that has a retrieval hook to help you unsnag your line. This Kayak is pretty light, and easy for one person to manage. I also have a 15ft canoe that weighs more than twice as much, so on solo trips i go for this Kayak!! I just strap it down on top of my SUV by myself. I believe the Kayak weights about 50ibs.

This is a good quality fishing kayak. We purchased this for our son-in-law for Christmas. The first one arrived damaged and missing the rod holder. We called Amazon and it was replaced right away. He's very happy with the kayak. It's light enough for him to pick up and put on a set of wheels that he purchased to take to the pond. It's wide enough for his 175lbs build. He finds its stability to be perfect for his size.

Awesome simple fishing kayak with all the basic features. I use a stadium chair for added comfort on long trips. Light and manageable for most manly men to lift onto a car for SUV roof with racks. I use mine in the Pacific Ocean and the stability is fine.

These are great for fishing. Not too heavy and short enough to fit in my car trunk. They definitely don't track well though. I noticed this one will always go right when I stop which is annoying but it's not a $3000 kayak so can't expect much. Seat connector clip is poorly designed though. Just molded cheap plastic which can't handle my back weight and I'm not heavy. Completely bent out of slot while I was on a long trip in the wind and rain. I would rather they install the aluminum aftermarket and charge me the ten bucks extra- which I bought and if you purchase this kayak you MUST get! Seat is surprisingly comfortable but not fantastic. Rod holder works well but I may end up buying another one for a second rod.You'll need to buy cup inserts to store anything in the hold- they cost about $15 and should be included. 4 stars for the poor seat clips and all the plastic chips the manufacturer left inside - they left a lot the you will need to vacuum out yourself and it's a pain to get to.

We love our Lifetime Tamarack Angler Kayak! It is super sturdy and easy for beginners to use. We don't worry about new paddlers getting stuck so the sit on top model is outstanding for piece of mind. We also love it for us as it is super maneuverable and super durable. We fish and paddle nearly every day and it is rugged enough for us to remove it from our dock area and not worry if it gets banged up a bit. It is also easy to transport and we usually have 2 people and the fore and aft as well as port and starboard carrying handles are great. Another bonus for us is Justin from Lifetime Customer Service. When we received our kayaks we noted that both were missing the seat cushions which must have fallen out in shipment - not their fault. Justin responded to our problem very professionally and timely and immediately sent us the replacement cushions. This made our purchasing experience outstanding. We are so grateful that there are still companies that care for their purchasers. We are saving for the Lifetime Paddle Boards and decided on that model because of the well made craftsmanship as well as their company ethics. Thanks Lifetime!

Well finally got to take my Kayak out due to health issues it delayed everything. First off I was well pleased with it but I did swap out seat for Stadium style seat. Fits perfect and more comfy. The kayak itself handles very well. I weigh about 144 due to health and I had no issues with its stability. Was able to move about the kayak with easy. Held straight in water and didn't turn in circles. I was able to cast and not feel the yak moving at all. Water coming into it was minor. Why do they make those holes on yak. Serve no purpose. None. Getting into Yak was easy. I was able to want onto it and sit down without it trying to run from me or drop me into lake. I am very very pleased with it. I've also added fish finder. Power pack for it and phone charger unit. Few more rod holders and Transducer mount. Kayak is coming along well and I am very very please and yes I would buy another one. I added a few pics. You can see where I mounted fish finder. In cubby hole I put battery in with on/off switch. Onlong the left side mounts the sonar sensor with drop arm. It is held in place by Clíp cord. I’ll do better review later. And add better pictures to assist everyone. Thanks Don

Great kayak, overall satisfied with my purchase. From my dog (with her sharp-ass nails) climbing all over it, to running it into a fallen tree, to hauling it over rocky shallows, and even having the bus driver throw it into the caged trailer (with 2 others falling right on top of it); I can proudly say it's in great condition, no holes or deep scrapes, and still floats perfectly 👍. I'm 130 lbs and my dog is about 18 lbs, and had a couple bags on the back, so we sat somewhat high on the water, but a couple scupper plugs next time might help keep things a little drier inside the yak. The compartments were nice to have but I never needed to stow anything in them, but if it ever IS needed, they'll be there. Very pleased with my new dinghy, can't wait to get out on it again!
