  • Great product
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
Awesome simple fishing kayak with all the basic features. I use a stadium chair for added comfort on long trips. Light and manageable for most manly men to lift onto a car for SUV roof with racks. I use mine in the Pacific Ocean and the stability is fine.

  • Great fishing Kayak
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
This is a great Kayak. I have used other kayaks in the past, but not a fishing kayak. This is very stable and I have used it in choppy water. The kayak tracks well, and is fast for big wide flat fishing kayak. You wont be winning any races, but you will be able to maintain a trolling speed. Just like any sit on kayak you're going to get a little wet, even with scrubber plugs. Your butt is gonna get wet. I understand other people are upgrading the seat with a stadium seat, but the factory setup is sufficient for me anyways, who knows maybe i'll also upgrade. I did add an anchor, and trolley system, and really makes this an even better fishing vessel. There are some no motor lakes, streams, and rivers and this thing will float 200ibs in just a few inches of water!! I do like small personal boats, as you can get into some places that most people wouldn't be able to fish from either shore, or in a bigger motor boat. The paddle that came with it is pretty flimsy, and short. So order yourself a longer "fishing Paddle" that has a retrieval hook to help you unsnag your line. This Kayak is pretty light, and easy for one person to manage. I also have a 15ft canoe that weighs more than twice as much, so on solo trips i go for this Kayak!! I just strap it down on top of my SUV by myself. I believe the Kayak weights about 50ibs. ... show more

  • Great Kayak and Great Company
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
We love our Lifetime Tamarack Angler Kayak! It is super sturdy and easy for beginners to use. We don't worry about new paddlers getting stuck so the sit on top model is outstanding for piece of mind. We also love it for us as it is super maneuverable and super durable. We fish and paddle nearly every day and it is rugged enough for us to remove it from our dock area and not worry if it gets banged up a bit. It is also easy to transport and we usually have 2 people and the fore and aft as well as port and starboard carrying handles are great. Another bonus for us is Justin from Lifetime Customer Service. When we received our kayaks we noted that both were missing the seat cushions which must have fallen out in shipment - not their fault. Justin responded to our problem very professionally and timely and immediately sent us the replacement cushions. This made our purchasing experience outstanding. We are so grateful that there are still companies that care for their purchasers. We are saving for the Lifetime Paddle Boards and decided on that model because of the well made craftsmanship as well as their company ethics. Thanks Lifetime! ... show more

  • Worth what I paid for it, happy with purchase
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
There are more video reviews of this kayak on Youtube than I can count. All say it is worth the money you pay for it, providing you do not pay more than it's retail price of around $300. I would agree, it is quite stable , making it a good fishing kayak. Almost everything in life is tradeoff and this is no difference, the wide width is great for stability and fishing, but does make this kayak harder to paddle than a longer narrower kayak. The Tamarack being stable and a sit on top Kayak also makes me feel better about my wife and son using it for recreation. The kayak arrived wrapped really well, which protected the it from any damage. While I was happy I did experience any of the damage other reviewers mention, I was disappointed the seat had been removed, leaving four small hole in its place. I covered the small holes with tape and ordered a stadium seat to put in that spot. The seat fit fine and I am sure it is much more comfortable (the back rest is removable), but I still lowed my rating by one star for the missing seat. ... show more

  • Nice fishing kayak
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
This is a good quality fishing kayak. We purchased this for our son-in-law for Christmas. The first one arrived damaged and missing the rod holder. We called Amazon and it was replaced right away. He's very happy with the kayak. It's light enough for him to pick up and put on a set of wheels that he purchased to take to the pond. It's wide enough for his 175lbs build. He finds its stability to be perfect for his size. ... show more

  • Excellent stability and durability.
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
Love the stability (I'm just over 200lbs). I feel like I couldn't tip it if I tried. Easy to get on and off. Paddling is easier and more ergonomic since it is a sit on top. Good maneuverability on the rivers and tracking is good also. Included paddle isn't as bad as reviews claim. Big "bed" behind seat is great for fishing crate and small cooler (or one large cooler alone). Like that seat back is removable. Durable and will last forever. Dislikes: Inside storage is entire body of kayak (things slide around and are hard to get back out). Fixed by getting a dry storage container and using velcro or hook & loop tape to secure inside hatch. Bottom seat pad flew off twice while in transit on my truck. I think I can fix it by gluing it down to stay in place. Overall, very pleased with this kayak! If you're looking for stability and durability...this is the best for the money! ... show more

  • Best purchase
Style: Tamarack Angler With Paddle Pattern Name: Kayak
This kayak is so far best purchase I’ve made this year, it’s sturdy and has everything you need for fishing on a kayak, it’s fun for all ages, comfy with the adjustable seat, the design is sturdy and well made, and for a kayak this is probably one of the cheaper options but it doesn’t lack in quality ... show more
