Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wanted a kayak for supporting divers with underwater cleanups and needed one with trolling mount. Nothing like trying to pull 100lbs of dead crabtraps and tires with lift bags attached in 2 foot seas and 8knts of wind paddling is a chore I needed power and this fit the bill. It has good stability and lots of room on the deck. I can also stand if need be or kneel to unhook the lift bag which I could not do safely without tipping over and possibly getting dumped with my old sit on top or sit in kayaks. Stability: good setup with trolling motor mount Value for money: another vendor wanted 400.00 more for same kayak! Works well: Does what I need it to do. ... show more

Older posts said issues with chair sliding cause no rubber pieces on ends. I ordered in May of 2026 and the chairs now have rubbers on ends of seat base. Also came with some standard scupper plugs which don't remember if listed as such or not but nice none the less.

Look I know it's going to get messed up over time, but I paid full price for a new kayak. This thing showed up in a plastic bag, foot prints and dirt on the stand pad, some sort of white paint over spray all over the front of it including the chairs and bags. Fish scales stuck to it in several places. Scratches on the sides and bottom. Labels torn and peeled. Plug missing at the back. One of the chair's rubber feet missing. This is messed up. I know it's supposed to be a value kayak but I expect a new item when I pay nearly a thousand dollars for something. Customer support has so far refused to do anything about it. Pelican has some third party company doing their tech support through Amazon and they don't pick up the phone. I'll see if I can return it and try and buy direct elsewhere if i can't come to some sort of resolution with customer support. ... show more

Wish I could have gotten to use this kayak but it didn't even make it to me before amazon sent a message that it was damaged in transit and being sent back. Pelican as a brand is great for their affordable fishing kayaks. They're lightweight and stable on the water. Judging by the many reviews about my exact issue here with transit damage that I glossed over thinking maybe it's been fixed by now, id say be prepared to wait a few weeks till they can get it right or just order elsewhere.
