So far so great! We bought this to go on a redwood deck that had no cover. This feels very sturdy and was relatively easy to put together. It took about3-4 hours over the course of two afternoons. The boxes came numbered and the instructions were clear. We’ve had it up for about a month and through two significant windstorms. You can sit under it during rain if the slats are fully closed, no leaks so far. We will see how it holds up to the harsher conditions of winter but so far worth every Penny!

I bought this based on the good reviews, and they were not wrong. A quality item that was well thought out by the designer(s). Make sure you watch the assembly video, it will help you understand the written instructions. Assembly was pretty straight forward--the video cleared up the couple of assembly questions I could not understand from the drawings. Now that I've built one, I think I could do another without even reading the instructions. I assembled this myself, it is possible to do it alone. I only needed help when standing up the posts--probably could have figured out a way to do that myself if I had to. Don't rush, take your time--I built mine over three days and it turned out great.

Don’t be overwhelmed by the eight large boxes you will be receiving. They are numbered to coincide with the assembly instructions. My wife and I were able to assemble the pergola on our own quite quickly. It looks and functions great. We have had many compliments about how nice it looks. I highly recommend buying this pergola.

We've talked about building a pergola for our deck since we built our house 3 years ago. We couldn't find the right thing for us.... Until we saw this one!! We wanted something maintenance-free that would fit in with the style of our house. The package was delivered quickly, with all parts included, and assembly went smoothly. It was a one-man job that went up with ease. The size measured as expected based on the specs. It took about 12 hours to assemble, but part of that time was spent making modifications to our deck. The louvers are so nice, as we can have shade when needed, but also have some sun when we want it. It's a bonus to be able to close one louvered side and leave the other open. It's quite windy at our house and it withstands the big gusts we have. We have closed the louvers on some rainy days and there have been a few spots that dripped thru... We haven't taken the time to deal with the small leaks yet, as they are minor. We highly recommend this purgola to anyone wanting an easy to assemble, well made, maintenance-free structure!!!
