  • Love it
This is exactly what I wanted. I have a very small kitchen with almost no counter space. This coffee maker is extremely streamlined. I love that it has the inserts for the different types of coffee pods and even for fresh ground coffee. The directions were easy to understand and it took me about six minutes to get the coffee maker operational. My only negative would be that the coffee maker is louder than my previous coffee maker, but that is a minor inconvenience for me as everything else works so well ... show more

  • Read the directions
Love the coffee maker. It was well packed up. Everything was wrapped up and the cardboard inside the box was very sturdy. Brews quickly and dispense 8oz. I like that you can clean the inserts are easy to put in and clean. I’m not use to the noise it makes. I’m using the k-cup insert. I assume that’s normal since I have heard an espresso machine. My k-cups brew a size of 8oz, so I use a measuring cup to capture the coffee and pour into my 16oz. Dumb me didn’t read the maximum set of ounces. ... show more

  • Good coffee maker with a lot of options Good coffee maker with a lot of options
This is the second Kotlie coffee maker that I've owned. It's been a similar experience with both. This brand seems to make coffee makers with some really cool features but they seem to always have one or two things that keep them falling short from perfect. I think these are things that a lot of people could live with though. With this coffee maker they resolved some things that I didn't like with the last one that I owned such as the water reservoir not being big enough. This one is quite a bit bigger And we no longer have to fill this thing up constantly through the day. This one will make probably three or four coffees before you need to refill. On my last Kotlie They also had this strangely small opening where the coffee mug went and almost none of our coffee mugs would fit in there well. A lot of them couldn't fit in squarely under the nozzle and were kind of on the edge. This model doesn't have those curved side pieces around the nozzle so you can fit basically anything underneath. I also really like that the drip tray has a higher attachment point that you can move it up to instead of setting a little stool under your coffee mug if you want it to be closer to the nozzle. This comes with a variety of inserts for different kinds of single serve cups. He's all work really wonderfully and I think that's such a cool feature to have in one coffee maker. One great upgrade too for this one was having two separate ground coffee inserts. One for Americano and one for espresso. I also really like that each of the ground coffee inserts have a removable stainless basket that you can pull out and clean. My other model has a one piece plastic insert that feels like it has a lot of buildup at the bottom around the mesh. The main difference between these two ground coffee baskets is that the espresso forces more pressure by having less outlets. There's also an iced coffee setting on this that is so awesome. I really like that this model has a tiltable touch screen for choosing options. If you experiment you can figure out how to make a lot of different coffees with different combinations that aren't exactly advertised. Our favorite thing about our other model kotlie Is that it's a higher pressure coffee maker and the ground coffee insert makes fantastic coffee with crema on top And it always tastes perfect at the perfect temperature. This one doesn't do as good of a job for a few reasons if you like coffee specifically that way. This coffee maker runs a lot hotter than the other, even on the iced coffee setting. There is also less pressure generated with this model so it's a little bit harder to get that crema even when making espresso. After a lot of trial and error I was able to get a really close version of that coffee that the other model made. You have to put the espresso basket in the Americano insert. The espresso doesn't have the same options enabled on the touch screen as the Americano for size of coffee and temp. And the Americano basket doesn't generate enough pressure. So if you use the espresso basket for more pressure and the Americano insert to access the strong option, iced coffee option, 6 oz or 8 oz - then you can get a normal sized coffee that tastes really good and has crema. It still ends up a little hotter than the other model - that was really nice because you could instantly drink the coffee at the perfect temperature. The iced coffee option is so clutch for this model. You just run the coffee like normal with that option at a lower temp and have it pour over ice And you can get some really great fresh iced coffee without having to use instant. The other baskets work really great too, though some of the non k-cup single serves can get pricey They are definitely worth it. I think this could have been the perfect coffee maker if they hadn't locked down options with a different baskets and let you just kind of choose what you want to do and if they had put that same high pressure motor in as the other model. I was thinking these were going to be similar since this one was quite a bit more expensive than the other model but I think that the cost goes into some of the fancier electronics and design. Overall I think this is a really great coffee maker that will make most people really happy with tons of options. If you're willing to experiment a little bit you can make some pretty great coffees. ... show more

  • I was so surprised in a good way I was so surprised in a good way
As a Brazilian that basically runs on coffee, I had pretty high expectations for this machine… and honestly? I was already preparing myself for disappointment. I thought it was going to feel cheap, make weak inconsistent coffee, or my personal nightmare: watered down coffee pretending to be espresso. But surprisingly, this machine proved me very wrong. First thing I noticed is how incredibly easy it is to set up. You basically take it out of the box, rinse a couple parts, add water and you are almost ready to go. Huge plus for me because I absolutely hate complicated appliances that require a whole engineering degree before your first cup of coffee. Everything here feels very intuitive. The touchscreen panel is simple to understand, the adapters are easy to swap, and honestly I didn’t even bother opening the manual because the machine is pretty self explanatory. (Yes, it does come with one though!) One of the coolest things about this coffee maker is how versatile it is. It comes with multiple adapters/sleeves so you can use different types of coffee: K-cups, Nespresso Original capsules, larger style pods, and even regular ground coffee. That alone already makes this machine stand out for me because I hate being locked into one single coffee system or one overpriced brand of capsules forever. In my house everyone likes different coffee styles, so having one machine that handles everything saves counter space and money. The coffee strength also surprised me in a very good way. The adjustable cup size settings make a HUGE difference because you can control how concentrated your coffee is. If you like stronger coffee like I do, you can make smaller more intense servings instead of ending up with a giant mug of flavored water. The touchscreen lets you customize water volume very easily, and the machine actually recognizes which adapter you inserted which feels pretty fancy for the price range. Another thing I appreciated is the large removable 50 oz water tank. It lasts quite a while before needing refills, especially useful in a household with multiple coffee drinkers. The removable drip tray is practical too, especially for taller travel mugs. Design-wise, I would say this machine looks modern and clean. Is it the prettiest luxury coffee machine I’ve ever seen? No. But honestly I care way more about performance than aesthetics when it comes to coffee. And performance-wise, this thing impressed me more than some Keurig-style machines I’ve tested before. The coffee comes out hotter, richer, and much more customizable. Overall, I genuinely feel like I scored pretty well with this machine. It is easy to use, versatile, compact enough for smaller kitchens, and most importantly… it actually makes good coffee consistently. If you are someone who likes options, drinks coffee daily, or has multiple coffee preferences in the house, this is definitely worth considering. ... show more

  • It replaces two machines on our countertop It replaces two machines on our countertop
We mostly use both K-cups and N*esspresso. Our old K-cup machine was able to do K-cups as well as ground coffee in an adapter. Ground coffee is only about 10%, and the rest of our coffee drinking is split between the K and the N. Which meant that I had another Nespresso small unit. Since they were always on the countertop, precious real estate was taken (two machines and a grinder). I saw that the latest offering has incredible features listed on the product page and was blown away when I got it and started to use this Kotlie machine. The single serve feature wasn’t an issue for me because in the past two years I used a single serve for all there (K-cop/N*esspresso/ground). What got me sold was the ability to customize my coffee. The 19 Bar proved itself in all cases. Even without selecting extra strength, the K-cup was stronger. And the N*esspresso selection allowed down to 1oz for my real strong coffee. I was also able to pass water twice using 3oz and 1 oz for the same capsule, extracting the most out of the capsule. The tilt up display is great; the available selections are displayed according to the insert you place in. You can’t make mistakes. Cleanup is a breeze; the tank is large enough for several capsules (we have 4 coffee lovers) and the coffee is hotter than in the previous machine. We LOVE this coffee machine. ... show more

  • Versatile, Economical, Well Constructed, Great Tasting Coffee
This is my second KOTLIE machine, and I'm pleased once again. These are small but mighty machines that are easy to use and brew a great Nespresso pod or loose-ground coffee. I'm very happy with the larger tank and with being able to brew a bigger cup of coffee. My previous machine only went up to four ounces. The machine is lighter than my previous one, but the older version had sleek stainless steel on each side, giving it a high-end industrial look. This one looks more like a standard coffee maker. The water temperature is as hot as the previous model, which I like. Love hot coffee. Overall, the versatility of the KOTLIE machines is so economical because you can switch between whichever coffee preference is on sale or what you like without having three or four machines. If they could create a version with the Nespresso pods, I would be in heaven. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Streamlined and flexible for a variety of coffee pod brands! Streamlined and flexible for a variety of coffee pod brands!
I was excited to try this – I loved the idea of being able to use K-cups, Nespresso, AND the pods that you can make yourself. I’m a big fan of finding coffee that my family loves and not being stuck with a single brand. Plus, if I find coffee at a great price I don’t want to be locked into one brand because my coffee maker can’t handle the pod. There are some very cool features here: > This takes up very little counter space from a ‘footprint’ perspective > The variable height tray to accommodate different cups, including from little espresso cups all the way up to taller to-go reusable cups > The flip-up display so you can select what kind of pod you’re using and the cup/water size > The large capacity water reservoir (50 oz) I’m not the coffee connoisseur in the house, so I can’t speak to things like the power extraction or cold brew. I just make sure I have the right coffee and the right machine for my family and guests. So far everyone is enjoying the machine. ... show more

  • Great single serve coffee maker
This arrived quickly and well packaged. I already had two Kotlie single serve makers but this one was a better version so I upgraded my kitchen one to this version. This one has a bigger water tank and can accommodate larger cup sizes. The display is also upgraded and overall looks more sleeker and modern. It is still a slim design so it will fit almost anywhere and the cord is a little longer than the the version. I have mine sitting atop a k cup drawer. Comes with all the attachments to fit the most popular coffee mods. While it does have a larger capacity its still a single serve, so if you have a family of coffee drinkers you'll need a larger family sized product unless you don't mind waiting. The coffee quality is very good, I just hope it continues that way with continued use. Overall very satisfied. ... show more
