The KOTLIE Multifunctional 4in1 Espresso Machine has both strong appeal to all fans of pod based coffee brewing and some compelling features. It very much resembles the Nespresso Pixie series of machines in styling, size and general layout, with some important differences. We have been long time Nespresso users and we own a Nespresso Pixie. So I was intrigued to try this unit for a number of reasons. The number one reason is that it will brew both Nespresso pods and also brew K-Cups. Nespresso pods have always been expensive. But in recent times the price per pod has zoomed toward a dollar each. The value for money equation has been slipping for a long time. So I was interested in how well this machine would work with K-Cups. The answer is very well. K-Cups are vastly more affordable than Nespresso pods, and also deliver bigger cups of coffee. The Achilles heel of most K-Cup machines has always been sub par brewing temperatures and anemic pressure. The KOTLIE delivers on both those parameters, making one of the best K-Cups brews I have had. It also did well with Nespresso pods. The main downside to the KOTLIE vs the Nespresso machines is in pod extraction. Nespresso machines have a collection bin under the brew head that allows users to eject a used pod with a simple movement of the locking arm for the brew basket, allowing several pods to collect before the bin has to be emptied. The KOTLIE on the other hand requires you to remove the basket each time to dispose of pods one by one. That's the price you pay for multi functionality. The different pods formats each have their own removable basket. In practice it wasn't that big a deal, just a different routine. The KOTLIE has a very attractive form and the main body is sheathed in satin finish sheet metal. If I had one complaint it would be the color used for the plastic parts. The KOTLIE uses a dowdy looking chocolate brown for the plastic parts of the machine, making it look rather drab and institutional despite the sleek form and exposed metal. I would go for red, black, white, yellow, anything but brown. But, all that said. this is a capable and very attractive machine that frees you from one pod brand and type and even allows you to use ground coffee. It's versatile, makes a good cup of coffee and the price is right. We like it.

Review for KOTLIE Multifunctional 4in1 Espresso Machine, 19Bar Pressure Single Serve Coffee Maker for Nespresso O I was really impressed with this machine. I just unpacked it this morning and made my first shots out of it using Peets Nespresso pods. I am not usually a pod user of any kind. Most of the espresso I have had has been made by me on a commercial machine. But I don't have it any more and I miss it, so I thought I would try this one. I like the fact that holders for every type of pod or even ground coffee come with it. But it kind of confused me because I am not familiar with all the different kinds of pods. But eventually I figured it out. I think the footprint is pretty small and it is fairly lightweight. The water container comes out pretty easily and re-installs easily. You can fit most standard sized mugs under the brewhead when the platform is in the lower position, and you can raise is up a bit for smaller cups. Not hard, it jut pulls out, and slides back in. It is a bit noisy when it is brewing. I don't know of any machine that is not. There are really strong suction cups on the base to keep it in one place when it is brewing. It produced a lot of crema from these Peets Nespresso pods. This seems to be put together very well. I am looking forward to using it for a long time.

This is a fantastic little coffee machine! I say little because my Keurig dwarfs it on the counter, which is a plus if you are tight for counter space. We've had espresso machines & this does a great espresso comparable to any one we've had. Where it really shines is its ability to multi-task. I used K-cups in it and the results were (probably) better than the Keurig. What really blew me away was using Nespresso pods in it. You get the smoothness of a great espresso and a rich crema with no bitterness at all. Plus, it's a heck of a lot easier to dump a pod than dumping grounds. Fantastic machine! One little complaint I got while making my cups was that it is loud. I guess so, but I feel it is worth the coffee you get.

What got my attention on this coffee maker is its versatility. It is ready for you to use right out of the box. It comes with its own cup to add add your own coffee grinds to. You dont need to buy capsules, this is a HUGE plus. the water tank is ample and it is easy to use. There is no frother which is a small negative, but I prefer to have my frother separate. A frother is necessary if you love cappucinos. There are adapters with this device to put in your favorite nespresso pods. the machine runs well, and this is mean for home use. It does not come with any storage unit to put away the accessories and different adapters, I suggest you put them all in a large zip lock bag.

When you choose cup size the coffee maker starts and a loud noise and then it starts vibrating loudly. Handle is super hard to engage. Not impressed.

After cleaning this machine, I was eager to try it right away and decided to put fresh coffee grounds in the included holder. Once I tried it out, I noticed it was absolutely loud and vibrated the table. It was at that moment I realized why it had suction cups at the bottom - to keep it from falling off while it dispensed coffee! Despite this, it dispensed a cup pretty quickly. The coffee looked and smelled like how it normally does when brewed other ways. It was nice a hot and tasted the same as well - no difference whatsoever. The additional attachments they include are nice to have if you use coffee pods. They work just the same as putting coffee grounds into the machine. So far, I haven't had any blowouts or major issues with the machine. Overall, it makes a good cup of coffee by any means but keep in mind that it is pretty loud. After it's finished it will continue to drip a little as usual too. The coffee it makes is basically a 1:1 with how other machines make it.
