My only gripe is a 6oz cup of coffee for the large size, but you hit the 2oz after and get your 8oz. I stopped using flavored creamer because the coffee has much more taste. Only have had this coffee maker for 24 hours — but so far it’s good. My previous coffee pot (for 7 years) was a Senseo — which I loved. I guess they don’t make Senseo anymore, and naturally I have a stockpile of the PODS. So, I ordered this one and am excited that you virtually can use any pods AND even use straight grounds. I already have a full-size Keurig for my K-Cups, but this coffee maker intrigued me with the ability to do so much more than just K-Cups. First tip: read the manual, read the listing description, and watch all the videos to really learn how this machine works. I also have a couple of tips in my review. Right out of the box, this coffee maker has a much smaller footprint than other brewers I have used. The water reservoir might be a little smaller than my big machine, but the footprint is so much smaller even taking that into consideration. One thing about the size, though, is you have a limit as to how tall a cup you can use. My large Keurig can fit up to a 7 ½” cup. This machine can do 3 ½” with the base and 4” without the base. For me, it’s no problem because the tallest cup I use is 4”. Another thing is the cup shape. When you take the base off, a little lip sticks out. Depending on the shape of your 4” cup it might not be 100% stable. I do not see the cup requirements as an issue, but more of something to be aware of before purchase. The water reservoir can be filled by taking the reservoir off or pouring water directly into the reservoir. Be careful about filling it too close to the top when pouring, as there is a small opening at the top that allows the backflow tube to fit. The function of this coffee maker is my dream come true…almost. It has two default sizes you can press and forget, a Small 2oz and a larger 6oz. But you can change how many ounces these buttons give when pressed. Press and hold either button until the desired amount of coffee is dispensed, then release the button. That button will now start giving out that same amount of coffee when simply pressed. The minimum the button push will give is 2oz, even if you set it manually by pressing and letting go at less than 2oz. Keep in mind that the small can be set at a higher amount than the large if you desire. I am still waiting on the model where you simply use a dial to get the exact amount you want every time, but this is as close as I have ever seen. Regarding K-Cups, it will take almost all, but not all, K-Cups. There are some K-Cups that are not the complete cup but have the filter showing. These cup designs typically have a larger, more rigid ring at the top that will not fit into the K-Cup holder on this unit. It seems like it fits, but when you try to close the cap down, you will notice it seems harder than it should be. Do not force down the lever when installing a K-Cup. If it seems harder than it should be to close, then don’t force it, or you will break it. When you put typical K-Cups into the brewer, you might need to manually press down the cup to pierce the bottom of the cup before it will fit. As far as ground loose coffee goes, it works great. Keep in mind that the Keurig cups that you use to brew ground coffee in those brewers will not work with this brewer, but it does come with its own adapter. Having brewed ground coffee in both machines, I can say this brewer makes far better coffee than the K-Cup models. The coffee is just much richer and tastes better. You can also use your own ground espresso in the same fashion as ground coffee and it works equally as well. The Nespresso brewing is very good and even has a little foam on top. I have never used Nespresso before this machine, so I cannot compare it, but it is very good on this machine. I can't wait to experiment with flavors. I bought a selection of ESE Pods to try and they also worked very well in this machine. Be sure to tamp down the pods before you put them into the basket so you can get a nice even seal. I used to use ESE Pods in the past and liked them. This brewer seemed to do just as well as I remember my previous espresso brewer doing. So far, this is a fantastic machine. Every form of coffee or espresso it makes it does a great job. The small footprint and ability to customize the amount of water just puts it over the top in my book. This has to be the most useful and well-made coffee/espresso maker I have ever owned. ... show more

I was looking for a small coffee maker for my office, and this popped up. I'm glad I got it. I have only made espresso with it so far, but as I see it - that is all I want to make with it right now. It really does a great job of pressing the steam through the espresso cup, and crema results. Very nice texture, and flavor abounds. I initially thought it was leaking water - but chalk that up to user error - I filled it too far. The included cartridges for other forms of coffee will probably come in handy when my current supply of ground espresso runs out, but for now - I am not looking back. The down side is that the espresso cup (cartridge for making) does not connect as it would on a regular espresso machine - which means that the clean up of the cartridge is a little messier than a regular machine. Other than that - I am impressed with the 19 bar rating, and appreciate that it does a great job of making espresso. ... show more

Really great Unit to use nearly any coffee pod option, as advertised it doesn't work with all espresso pods so stick to the original. Allows you to brew 2 or 4 oz. Changing the units between pod styles is simple and easy to do, requires a small amount of storage space, but easier than multiple coffee brewing units. Really pleased with how well this brews and the versatility. The unit itself is low profile and takes up little counter space.     • Compact and makes good espresso
This coffee maker is ideal for small countertops, as it is less than 5 inches wide and 10 inches deep. It brews delicious espresso, either from coffee grounds or from various types of pods. It comes with two extra fittings for K-Cup and Nespresso pods, as well as a shallower pod for thinner ones. I'm using the coffee grounds, and it makes a great single serve coffee. The unit is easy to clean, following the instructions provided. The only thing I would change about this coffee maker is to make it matte plastic instead of glossy. Recommend. ... show more
