Arrived new and unopened...no mold or moisture like a previous buyer experienced. This feels about as thick as your basic "heavy duty" blue tarp at a big box store. I wouldn't consider this a super-heavy duty tarp for years of rugged outdoor use however. The tarp does "hide" whatever is underneath it...in other words you cannot easily see through it. The tarp has heavy duty plastic corners (as shown on Amazon's picture) and a reasonable number of grommets. The grommets are actually heavier duty than I expected. I thought it would have cheap brass grommets, but these look to be nickel or something similar, and slightly heavier than I had anticipated. I ordered the 8x10' size, but did not measure it for accuracy. It seemed about right -- they show the approximate finished size on Amazon. As with all tarps, it is smaller than the labeled size. All in all, for the price it's a good tarp. Especially if you want something that tends to reflect the sun's rays to keep whatever is underneath it a little cooler. ... show more

I bought this to cover areas of my garage. Home Depot and Lowes had them for $30-$50, so this was a much better alternative. I chose white for a cleaner look. As the other reviewers already noted - the SIZING does not exactly match their title description. They state it in their "expanded" description. It's off short by a few inches. So be aware of that if you're looking for exact sizing. The quality is great, but there are areas of the tarp that is either missing some pieces (the circle areas that you insert your rope/zip ties in) or damaged. But it's great overall. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cheap and sturdy tarp to cover areas around your house. ... show more

    • Get the right size
I have mixed feelings about this tarp. First, it was too large for my use - my fault. I wanted to cover the bed of a pickup truck and this tarp was much larger. I thought I tied it down well, but apparently not. In the drive several grommets torn out. The corner grommet disappeared (I had to use a rock instead.) on the back from my trip I cinched it down better and it worked satisfactorily. I threw it away after my trip. ... show more

    • Needs decent grommets
The tarp material seems fine. I like the white color. The grommets are very poor. Thin, Soft aluminum, and several were damaged when the factory installed them. A few even had been punched with two grommets in the same hole, and they sheared each other to pieces. Sloppy and cheap. The cord in the hem is barely discernible, it is so small. Why not put in a decent size cord in the edge to take some strain off the crappy grommets? I will probably end up putting in my own grommets with reinforcing patches. I've bought this exact product before so I know how it should look. And it's missing a grommet on both sides if the tarp. I'm guessing it was a manufacturing mistake.

    • Superior Heavy Duty Waterproof Tarp
This is an excellent tarp ... very heavy weight and durable, unlike the cheap blue ones. I purchased it to cover the top of a chain link dog kennel. It's been in place for many months, suffered many downpours and hasn't leaked one tiny bit. I have also purchased the same brand in a much larger size to cover a classic car that I treasure, nuff said. ... show more
