My wife has been is physical therapy for a hip related issue for about 3 years now. 1 year ago she and her physical therapist decided it was time to start trying to bike again. Her therapist wanted her to take it slow, and had some pretty stringent requirements for her bike, and this met all of them! On this bicycle she can pedal without any assistance for short periods of time, she can pedal with assistance and can choose the level of assistance by switching gears, and if her hip gives out while riding she can switch to full electric with no peddaling at all. The deep swoop on the bike means she can get on the bike without stretching her hip too far to the side, Ave the wide seat supports both her hips while riding. Being able to strengthen her muscles while biking and having fun has been a big help in her recovery. The bike itself is decent. All the parts seem good quality. You have to assemble it yourself, but the instructions were clear and everything came together easily. The only issue we had was at one point the battery stopped working, but we contacted Kornorge and they honored their warranty and sent us a new one. Excellent customer service! ... show more

Signature needed to deliver which was not expected so delivery was more complicated an required a lot of persistence on my part. Package was shy a couple brackets/bolts. The bike is awesome, and as a 65 y/o and limited endurance I'm finding this bike is a great fit for me! I've ridden approx. 75 mi and bike pedals SUPER easy with key and power on. I get a boost of assistance once my speed reaches a (their) predetermined speed. Thus far, I haven't had the bike out of 1st gear as I'm quite comfortable with my ability/speed to date. I've had NO problems with inclines and if I want to rest momentarily from pedaling, I'm able to throttle for power. Longest ride thus far was approx. 18 miles and returned home with a full charge. ... show more

This bike is well built and has decent battery range, love pedal assist, powerful bike. Nice looking cruising bike to go to the beach on. I’ve had a lot of people ask me where I bought this bike at. It catches a lot of peoples eyes. Has a soft seat and bright headlight that I liked when riding at night. Has a sturdy front basket. Bike was pretty easy to assemble no issues at all. Very fast shipping bike arrived 2 days after I ordered it. A++ customer service they respond to you right away if you have any issues or questions about your bike. I love the retro look of this bike. It’s really easy to get on and off due to the low step-through. Love the basket and rack on the back— add your own bungee to secure items. Riding it is a blast! You can get pure power with a throttle-like grip on right handle. It also will just cruise once you set a speed. No idea how to activate that feature! There’s also peddle assist. You can peddle easily without power as well. One pump of the break releases the power mode. I’ve been using it since August (it’s now October) and I haven’t had to charge the battery yet. The downside: it took all day to assemble. Directions were essentially nonexistent. There was no tutorial online. If I’d been assembling it myself, I would have given up and returned it. My husband figured it out intuitively, but again, ALL DAY. Also, charger needs a European plug— we had an adapter, so no big deal. Bike is heavy— you’d need to consider that if you’re planning to lift it onto a car rack. Brakes needed lots of adjustments to work properly. Last, the key doesn’t line up as it should, so I have to lift and jiggle the battery to get the ignition key engaged. Price was great— very happy with it overall. Total knee saver. ... show more

I purchased this particular one for the style, price, and all the rave reviews about customer service. I just sent my 5th request for information to their customer service line. There is no telephone # to call so you have to email, online chat (no one answers, at least that was my experience) or go on their customer service site and leave a message. My first email was responded to, but, not answered. I was asking about how to use the features of the bike, I got a video attachment of how to install the battery. It was well packaged and took a long time to take off all the protective covering. Assembly went well. I watched all the videos, used the manual, and although I am female, and in my 70's. I managed to put it together with little problems. I would suggest laying the box on it's side, putting something under it, and sliding the unassembled bike out rather than lift it up. I couldn't figure how to calibrate the derailleur so I took it to a bike shop and they were very helpful. I'm guessing this has no power option when it comes to the peddle assist. Meaning, I have friends who have the option of starting it in 1. I don't see how you start peddle assist. I tried riding it to figure it out, when in 1st and or 2nd, it took off like the throttle was engaged. (it wasn't) Sometimes it helps with peddling and just comes on, sometimes it doesn't. So if I switch back to 1st and work through the gears again it will assist in 5th. I don't know if this is supposed to do this, or it's a glitch. Customer Service won't answer my questions. I love the look of the bike, I love how it handles. I just wish I knew how to operate it. Good Luck if you have a customer service question. If I ever get another, I think I'll buy locally, someone who will stand by their product and I won't have to wait for answers. UPDATE: the same day this review appeared on Amazon, I got an email from Kornorge Customer Service telling me "It seemed like you have contacted us during weekends and unfortunately, our warehouse doesn't operate during weekends which is why we were not able to immediately contact you" (It's been several weeks) It wasn't on the weekend. Even though I typed in full my questions, the answer was, "We hope to hear from you again and we're hoping to get more information about your concerns with the bike." I explained in detail, how much more can I say? Also, they sent the same attachment on how to install the battery. So out of frustration, NO, I do not recommend this, if you do have problems, I hope it's about how to install the battery. ... show more

My daughter has been riding this to school daily for six months. It was making a weird noise but just needed some adjustment to the piece over the tire. Do not lose your spare key because it is impossible to find a place to make a copy.
