Yes, it looks very silly. Who cares?? I take medication that causes extreme sun sensitivity. Even SPF 70 does absolutely nothing to prevent a reaction after a day of fishing. With this hat and veils, I get ZERO sun damage. It is comfortable and cool to wear. The best thing is that you can breathe through the face mask. This is a huge upgrade from wearing a gator over your face and trying to breathe. I've ordered twice and will probably get another color.

Bought this for my teen who likes to be outside in the yard. He has a lot of hair and the hat was really snug. I'm not sure he will be able to wear it long. It fits better with a bandana underneath. It is light weight and covers the neck & face.

Really great. I went to xgames the weekend before we were to camp and burned myself in my face pretty bad. Got this hat, wore it during the camping trip. Great protection against the sun. Easy to put on. Great for hiking and being in the sun. Especially here in Arizona.

it says 50+ upf but I'm sorry this is like 95%.it does let the light in and in a good way. super Brezzy and will keep you nice and cool. this is definitely worth the buy if you are looking for some sun protection this year for fishing boating hunting etc. this company will be what you wished for when it comes sun cap or fishing hat. also, one last thing the mouth part will keep all the bugs out your mouth.
