Features

  • Contact Frame for Intel LGA1851 | LGA1700: Optimized contact pressure distribution for longer CPU lifespan and better heat dissipation.
  • ARCTIC's P12 Pro fan: More performance at every speed especially more powerful and quieter than the P12 at low speeds. Higher maximum speed for optimal cooling performance under high load.
  • Native offset mounting for Intel and AMD: Shifting the cold plate center toward the CPU hotspot ensures more efficient heat transfer.
  • Integrated VRM fan: PWM-controlled fan that lowers the temperature of the voltage converters and ensures reliable performance.
  • Integrated cable management: The PWM cables of the radiator fans are integrated into the sheathing of the hoses, so that only a single visible cable is connected to the motherboard.

  • Great AIO Cooler
NZXT N7 B650-E motherboard - Fits AMD 7800X3D Azza Cast 808 (I removed the outer shell to get a better view for this picture) So I've seen a lot of reviews stating this was difficult to install...I honestly didn't think so and I'm the type that struggles with the little front panel connectors. Best tips I can offer is to go to YouTube and search for AIO name and include "installation". That is super easy to follow and you can just pause the video as needed. The other thing is to have your PC laying down on its back (if you already have the motherboard installed into the PC). I could be wrong but I think with AMD AM5 boards the Bracket is fixed to the board itself so you don't even have to worry about holding the bracket the same time as trying to install the mounting parts. While you have the PC laying down also be sure to have access from the top of your PC case so you can use both hands. The last tip is to take your time. Between those 3 things it was a relatively easy install. Now for my actual thoughts on it. TBH I am not impressed by the look of the pump cover, the Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark, that this Arctic Freezer III replaced, was much better looking. (If I can ensure not to impact performance, I might 3d model and print my own cover). Unlike the aforementioned Deepcool cooler this is however much better at cooling and noise. The idle and task temps are about 10° better, and the noise levels are way better. When my Deepcool was idle it was just a bit quieter than the Arctic is under load. I might eventually swap out the fans for Noctua fans but as is I'm ok with it. BTW check your case recommended specs for radiators, as this radiator is quite thick. I could see this being challenging for an ITX build where every spare millimeter counts. Only concern I have so far, and I don't know if this is a "break in" type thing, but I noticed my pump is kind of noisy here and there...it sounds like water trying to path through a weird opening (kind of hard to explain), but it's not a constant thing. It just does it here and there for a few seconds then everything is quiet again. I just hope it goes away and doesn't get worse while I'm still in my exchange period. So overall it's a 5 star with me so far, but the minor things make this more like a 4.7 for me ... show more

  • HQ and well designed
Model: ACFRE00178A
The install is simple and straightforward on AM4. I really don't get all the complaints about the AMD install. The design is well thought out. The VRM cooler itself is worth $25. The build quality is high. Most importantly, this cooler brings the temperature of my Ryzen 5950 down at relatively slow fan speed. Quiet and very effective. ... show more

  • Great with a few caveats
Model: ACFRE00178A
This is a highly reviewed and rated aio cooler. Most people get it because of that. But having ran air coolers for decades, this is my first AIO, and I have several thoughts below. First of all - you don't need a water cooler unless your CPU draws lots of power, or you run extended CPU intensive things for extended durations. A good air cooler is more than sufficient. Spend more on water only adds to money and potential failure points. I ran an air cooler for almost 16 years and the fan still held strong. So why did I go AIO? For the novelty mostly, and because I applied thermal paste poorly in my last build and had higher temperature than I expected. By comparison, the AIO kept my CPU 10C cooler than my air cooler - due a combination of better thermal paste application, and it being a brand new, undirtied cooler. Some tips on getting the most mileage out of this unit. First, fan speed above 50% is loud. I set my fan curve in my bios to keep 50% until I hit 70C, which is very unlikely with my 5700X3D. Second, this device is noticeably louder than my air cooling setup. The reason being that the air cooler has top panels to deaden the noise, while this exposes the whole case to sound. For an easier install on AMD, do not tighten down the side brackets first. You'll need to secure the cooler to them first, and the extra little leeway will make your life much easier. And there's a backplate to your motherboard that you will screw into -- do not unscrew everything at once. The backplate will fall out, requiring you to reattach it. Instead, remove just one side and attach a bracket from this kit. It'll save you a lot of time. Finally - this does cool very well. At 50% fan speed, the noise is pretty acceptable. Overall - only buy if you need the extra cooling. These things wear out, so 6 years is probably time to get another one, vs 16 years on my air cooler. But if you do want to try this out, it's a pretty good product. ... show more

  • Made Well
Model: ACFRE00178A
This took over three hours to install, then it made a Ryzen 9 5950X unusable because of alarming fan noise. I switched out the CPU to a 65 W Ryzen 7. The two radiator fans are impressive, I'm just not used to the noise when the temperature is up momentarily. After a while, I went into BIOS and changed the fan pattern as recommended by Arctic. Now the cooler is dead silent and does its job. ... show more

  • Excellent Cooler in Modern Times
Model: ACFRE00178A
Modern All-in-Ones are attempting to beat in performance against each other, as well as be suitable for a regular user who does not want to use custom cooling; Arctic does a great job at this. Looks greats, and has no crazy RGB (you can purchase other versions with RGB), and the pricing is amazing. In comparison to other brands, they are pretty much half or 20% less - for better, or same performance. With a 9800x3d, this cooler can maintain ~85c in VT3 and Prime95 - these are high stress scenarios that will probably never occur, unless you are playing a game like The Finals where it needs to cache shaders; Valorant, Overwatch, esport titles basically will keep boosting. This cooler has a 3000RPM max speed on the fans, you can do around 60-80% fan to keep the pump at a high level, near 100% to keep performance and the sound. I own a few 3000rpm fans and honestly... These are quieter. How does this compare to the previous 'generation' of non pros? The 240mm is comparable, to even beating the 360mm LFIII. Screenshot is during a VT3 + Prime95 test run, stock pbo but with 2200 fclk / 6400cl28. ... show more
