The good: - Cheap, relatively quick delivery - Amazon-backed - 2 baskets and ice scraper come with purchase - Pretty large interior - Dial for temperature, from Min to Max only though The bad: - Slightly noisy when "on" (but may be due to shipping issue below) - Energy star rating is the highest of other similar units - Severe packaging and shipping issues: arrived heavily damaged directly to the brains of the operation. Packaging included about 3/8" fun at the top and bottom in full layers, and vertically at each corner for a few inches. Insufficient. Appears to have been dropped right on the corner. Good news is, I bought extended warranty but Amazon completely refunded to a gift card so I could re purchase. They said don't return, dispose of damaged unit or keep, my decision. ... show more

I really liked this fridge. I’m a breast feeding mom who needed an extra freezer for my freezer stash and this worked great. It’s very spacious. It was easy to setup once it came. As seen in one of my photos one piece was slightly broken but it didn’t interfere with anything so I wasn’t too bothered by it. The only main thing that I recently just realized is mine constantly turns on & off. As seen in the first picture the green light isn’t on and I’m not sure how long it’s been doing that for because I just realized but whenever it turns off I just don’t open it and it still keeps everything frozen. Overall a good quality freezer my only complaint would be that it turns on & off. It only turns off for 5 minutes or so and turns back on but this happens all throughout the day. My worry would just be if it was off too long it’d make my breast milk go bad but that never happened so overall it’s good. ... show more

REPLACEMENT UPDATE: Replacement cooler works but showed up damaged (see photos). Basically the lid is all dented and one ofnthr hinges is damaged but usable. Unfortunately I don't have the time (or energy) anymore to swap it out yet again (I'm going to need it this coming weekend) so I'll have to bear with and hope the thing doesn't die on me a month from now. I'm really wishing I'd just gone with a more reputable brand. Saving a bit of $$ was definitely not worth this hassle nor my anxiety as to the reliability of the unit going forward. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Cooler DOA (powers up but does not get the least bit cold). Customer support ran me through a bunch of hoops then finally told me to call UPS to schedule a pickup. Local UPS tells me it will be $10-$20 to schedule a pickup or I can "flag down the next driver I see"... I guess while I'm carrying the cooler on my back, right? Since the replacement was already technically "in progress" it was immensely frustrating getting in contact with Amazon to haggle down the return process. I'm guessing they just want you to give up and pay the delivery charge yourself. Hopefully the replacement works. I'm anxious about quality issues now that the first one was DOA. In a way it's better to know it's bad up front instead of losing a whole bunch of food a month from now... ... show more

Just got the freezer on Friday 14th, item was well packaged apart from small dent where the thermostat module but nothing too noticeable. Freezer has lots of room to store items and has a removable 1 basket on top. Freezer appears to be well constructed adequate for storing items from your refrigerator/freezer in your kitchen or an overflow of storing other food items. I Put my in my garage and was concerned that this would create problems for the freezer not freezing very well or turning off too early because outside was too cold creating confusion for the thermostat. So purchased a small cord heater (what you use for wrapping around pipes to preventing them from freezing) I opened up the access panel where the compressor is and placed the cord near the thermostat. So far the freezer is working with no problems and the thermostat is working like it should. Also suggest that you plug the freezer on a 20 amp GFCI outlet along with a 20 amp breaker, if your going to use a cord heater they strongly recommend that. Finally I powered the freezer using my 2000 Watt generator when I first got it while I was setting it up in my garage just to test if my generator could handle it and it did with no problems, overall a good freezer and a good investment ... show more

This is a good value for the price. Even though it's in the garage, which was HOT in Texas this past summer, it worked just fine. Everything is always frozen solid. It holds plenty for a 2-person household, though things are jumbled up because there's little in the way of compartmentalizing. This economical, perfectly sized freezer is awesome. With today's refrigerators being made with less and less room (cramped shelves in the fridge compartment and the freezer), we had no alternative but to invest in a freezer. Now we can buy groceries that are on sale and not worry about having no room in the refrigerator freezer, It's totally silent. The lid swings up and stays suspended until it's closed.
