we needed one that moved to see the whole room now our son can get out of bed. However when we set it up we were amazed. It's so easy to set up, took us about 2 minutes to do, you can add people to view your camera, you can see it from anywhere, and turn it on and off from anywhere. This camera stopped pivoting the lens up and down within a couple of weeks of light use. This thing is garbage! Don't recommend at all. Picture quality is so so, nothing amazing but usable. The 360 spin-around function is very smooth and it spins around quickly and without difficulty. If you get it anyways- the micro sd card goes in right where the lens is. You have to point the lens up to be able to insert the card, it's quite a chore but it's a handy hiding place! ... show more

easy to use app on the phone and the amazing follow option allows us to have it mounted in the kids room using the flip image option and the included disc to ceiling mount the camera for when the older one gets up we can also see him making his way around the room.

    • Not perfect, but an inexpensive and perfectly acceptable solution
This camera is smaller than expected; I hardly notice it. We wanted to be able to keep an eye on the cats when we travel (and make sure the kids really ARE feeding them) so the fact that this doesn't produce hi-def video is fine. It's plenty clear enough (and really, much better than I thought it would be given the price). Downloading the add and creating an account was easy. Connecting to the device was a little more difficult since I didn't realize that a 5GHZ connection wouldn't work - which is a bummer because that's what our phones are on. (We have the kids on the slower 2.4) Once I figured out the problem, though, setup was easy. I had to move the camera around a bit to get the best angle for catching the cat motion (which is very low to the floor - obviously), but the instructions were very easy to follow, accurate - and they made sense! We've been using the camera for about 2-3 weeks now and while it's a bit annoying to have to switch networks, we really are only going to use this while traveling so it will be fine and I'm confident it will serve its purpose.     • Easy to set up, low profile, night vision IR LEDs
This security cam is the fastest one I’ve ever set up. It took longer to get the SD card (which isn’t supplied with the camera) out of the tough plastic than it did to pair it. This one was operational in less than five minutes. This security cam uses the Smart Life App that was already installed on my phone. With the app already installed, it was a simple process loading the app, click 'add smart camera,' plug the camera in and show the QR code to the camera. That was all there was to it. If you don’t already have the app set up on your phone, you will need to download it and have your WIFI password handy. On a new install including setting up the app, factor in a good 30 minutes or a bit more for set up. These are designed for indoor use and are not weather resistant. They are also not battery powered. However, if the power goes out, they will boot back up without further assistance. You can run it without an SD card if you don’t have a spare one just to try it out. These do have motion detection and IR LEDs. The IR rendition is very good and resembles a black and white image. If this is in a room and motion tracking is on, it will be noticed. If motion is detected, an alert will go to your phone. The image will remain on the SD card until copied to your phone unless you chose the cloud option. These are sometimes strange what they pick up on motion detection. Bugs at the window, curtains fluttering or an AC vent that may be rattling are a few of the things that I’ve had detected. It does help if you have more than one camera to try to chose cameras that use the same app to save space on your phone and be able to view the other cameras quicker.     • Wanted to install update and crashed
Set up the camera to my wifi and router and then it informs that an update is available. It crashes during the update and the camera goes offline. Tried to reset it numerous times as per the instructions to no avail. Even theior FAQ didn't help. I gave up after two hours and sent it back.     • Great picture quality
This is a little tricky to set up. It took multiple tries for me to get it to connect to my wifi. After I did, I couldn’t access the camera to view my room. The app was just plain white. Nothing was happening. I had to force close it and try again. That seemed to help. Try that if you have issues. Once it was set up, the picture quality is amazing. Much better than my ring video doorbell. It even has great picture quality at night in the dark. I’m very impressed with the picture quality. ... show more
