Extreme weather conditions cause problems with power outages etc. people needing an extra place to lie down at a refuge/ neighbor or whatever will feel welcomed to sleep on this amazing EXTRA bed! WE are 70 & 80 yrs old & the handles helped to get down & up! We would recommend it to anyone as long as your weight isn’t over 300 lbs. it’s easy assembly. Major parts are already there just a few caster rollers & legs to bolt on. Very nice product for the price! We are happy.

The mattress is a thin layer of subgrade foam over another really cheap foam. It crackles. I'd say it's firm and will need a foam pad over it to be comfortable. The frame is sturdy.

This bed did not disappoint!! I was impressed with the quality and the tight feel, and I would say the bed is a medium to slightly soft firmness that allows you to pick up your body when you lie down. I sleep on my side to take pressure off my back, hips and knees. Using this mattress, I had no discomfort on my hips or shoulders, it was like my body was being hugged!!
