Mounts quick and holds my 18 inch bar super sturdy. The only downfall is that there should be a cover included so your saw is covered and doesn't get as much dust and dirt on the saw and in the chain. You can't use the plastic bar,/chain cover as it smashes it in the vise part and breaks the plastic sheath. Other than that I love it. ... show more

Excellent and durable chainsaw mount for ATV. I've used this for over a year and the foam is starting to erode a little but the steel parts are still in great condition. Only drawback is the locking mechanism requires a lot of spinning to unlatch and take the saw off, and even more spinning to close the empty mount. A different type of latch would be better, but i still enjoy this mount. ... show more

I’ve put these chainsaw mounts on both my Honda Pioneer and now my Kawasaki KRX. They can be mounted in a ton of different ways making them great for almost every application. Built well and holds the chainsaw without letting the head rock back and forth. It is also padded on the inside so there is no vibration or rattling when clamped down. I keep the sheathe on my saw while it’s clamped it mount. Just turn the knob a couple times and you can pull the saw out and the sheath will hold in the mount. Makes for quick and easy use. I was very surprised at how well this was put together, it’s very rigid when it’s locked on my stihl chainsaw. I wanted something I could mount to the curt basket that is bolted to the rear rack of my ATV; they designed this so that if you are mechanically-inclined it’s pretty easy to mount it how you want (mine is bolted to the side of the basket). There is a flange piece that bolts to the back side of the hinged piece, using that or not gives you a lot of versatility in how you hold your chainsaw. ... show more

    • OK, but using a scabbard for bar means it dinna fit in the press
Lots of freedom in the design to secure the press on my machine and it seems to stay tightly attached. Holds a saw when out doing work. Could not loosen the nut enough to allow using a cover over the bar/chain and still close the keeper plate. Still does what I need, even without the scabbard. Not my first Kolpin purchase, but a couple times the Kolpin decal fell off. If you depend on the name to help sell it, perhaps better quality control here. A previous Kolpin purchase had been sold to someone else and the fasteners were askew in the box, but the product was fine and attached fine.
