The media could not be loaded. Oh my! This is great! Better then I expected! Suction power works and is strong. I put 4 small pork chops into small size cut bag and it handled it. Pictures will show the suction and meats in packages. At the time that I’m putting this review up, I’ve haven’t used the can vacuum sealing function. Sorry. Honestly I’ve never needed to do that but this Koisos Vacuum Sealer came with a hose/tubing to seal up canned/jarred liquids. It came with 10 bags. 5 big and 5 med./small bags. I did not realize that at first so I ended up cutting 3 big bags instead of just the one to test how the sealing function itself is. Oops. My fault. There are 4 functions to this; vacuum seal, just seal the end of a bag/plastic, liquid canister vacuum seal/seal, and cutting. I love that I can do all of that with this Koisos that it takes up hardly no room. It’s compact. In the box I got a 3 year warranty with it, instruction manual, extra foam striping, plug in, 5 BIG bags, 5 med/small bags and the liquid seal tubing. So much in a compact box. I received this a day early as well plus received a picture of the shipping box at my door. The lid pushes closed and clicks so that you know that you have the lid shut on right and tight. It’s touch screen on the top to pick what function you want to use and the cutter/slicer is on top as well. Just lay down your bag and slide the sliding lever over it and you have your custom sized bags instead of 1 bag. (Don’t forget to seal one end of the custom bags since now both sides are open.) in my pictures you’ll see how I cut a bag and then used the seal function to still use the end I cut off as another smaller bag. The touch controls are extremely sensitive. You barely touch it and it turns on/function starts. Extremely easy to work. You pull up the lid, lay the end of the bag at chamber, (which is described in manual. Make sure you don’t cover the vacuum tiny hole tube which is also described and shown in manual) close the lid and snap down to hear the click, Touch the function you want, and the buttons light up with a light timer that once the lights stop going, you know it’s finished, (you’ll see that in my pictures as well) and then you press the release buttons on each side of the Koisos vacuum sealer to lift lid up and grab your vacuum sealed item. When vacuum sealing you do hear it, but it’s not loud and is very fast. Takes just a few seconds and is done. Very powerful for size and can do so much. My family and I are massive meat eaters and this is the best thing in the world for me to save space in my freezer. It allows me to put a family meal portion together in one sealed spot so I can just pull it out and not have to worry about defrosting all meat and I don’t have to worry about freezer burn or nasty meat from sealing in ziplock or having left over stuck plastic wrap on my meat. Has kept my meat extremely nice and in place in my freezer. ALSO big tip. Do NOT overfill your bag. That’s a given. Can’t really pull out all the air if everything’s super stuffed and you can’t really set and put the tip of the bag into the vacuum sealer properly either. I know that’s a given, but still there will be those people out there that will over stuff and complain when it’s their own user fault. I have a video here of it working as well. It sounds way louder on the phone then what it actually does sitting in front of me. It does make noise but in no way is it that loud or honestly loud at normal. My phone picks up massive background noise and it turned that machine into a monster sound that it doesn’t actually make. Lol I noticed the extra speaker sound when I watched my video because I’m embarrassed about my talking. BUY THIS ITEM! It will not disappoint. This is my favorite kitchen item now and one of my most helpful. I’m so happy I finally got one after years of wanting and needing one!

I have an old FoodSaver sealer and wanted to see how a modern Vacuum Sealer compares to it. First of all, the positives: The first thing that I noticed is how compact the unit is compared to the food saver. The machine itself takes up less than half of the space than the old FoodSaver does, which is great it my crowded kitchen. (I will note however that the FoodSaver has built-in bag storage which contributes to the bulkiness) The vacuum suction power is excellent, I'd say on par if not better than the FoodSaver. One of my favorite features is the sealing ability: frankly, the sealing function on the FoodSaver is finnicky at best. Often the seal function throws out an error, requiring repositioning and relocking (frequently multiple times) and a lot of frustration. From my usage this has never been a problem with the KOIOS sealer, it just works every time. Sealing with the vacuum is also less finicky than the FoodSaver because it doesn't require a secondary insert to lock down the bag. Finally, the unit is just more cost-effective than the FoodSaver. Now for the downsides: I'm not a huge fan of the cutting apparatus on top of the machine. It's a bit awkward to align a consistent straight cut and the blade just flows freely back-and-forth while using the machine. The locking mechanism, while very secure, requires a decent amount of pressure to snap into place with each side locking independently in contrast to a design like the FoodSaver which simply locks with a twist of a lever on the side. Finally, the biggest issue I've run into is the functionality while trying to vacuum wet foods. My first attempt was trying a seal on some brats in beer to sous vide, this was a complete failure. The strong vacuum drained the beer from the bag nearly completely before stopping to seal. Later, I tried a sealing with just two tablespoons of oil on a steak for sous vide and again, it completely drained the liquid before sealing the bag. Now I admit, the FoodSaver doesn't perform well with a wet seal either, but it will seal after draining an ounce or so of liquid while the KOIOS just isn't really usable for wet applications in my experience. If you're looking into a great value entry-level Vacuum Sealer Machine for sealing low moisture or dry materials then the KOIOS is fantastic. However, if you're using the sealer for wet applications such as marinades you should definitely look elsewhere.
