  • Super easy install. Great features (heated seat, heated water, deodorizer, dryer, night light).
Color: White
I received my Kohler C3-455 Cleansing Toilet Seat just two days ago and I have been very impressed with the system. I will continue to update the review over time. Just to note, I have used a Toto Bidet system at a family member’s house several times and find this Kohler system better overall. **NOTE: You need a dedicated 20 Amp GFCI outlet to install this Kohler Cleansing Seat. The manual specifically states to not use an extension cord with this. Install: I installed this toilet seat on our Kohler toilet, it took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. The instructions Kohler provides are straight forward but not the best. Provided you've done some basic tasks around the house, you shouldn’t have any issues installing this. The only tools I needed were a Flathead Screwdriver and an Adjustable Wrench. The install consisted of: ● Shutting off the water supply ● Flushing the toilet to remove as much water and pressure as possible ● Removing the water supply line ● Removing the old seat ● Installing the mounting bracket ● Installing the new seat ● Mounting the remote holder (I used heavy duty Velcro on our tile rather than drill into it) ● Connecting water supply to toilet seat ● Connecting main water supply line ● Installing connector clips to keep both power and water lines together ● Plugging in the toilet seat and testing the features Features: The main feature of the Kohler toilet seat is the front and rear wash. Both front and rear work very well for cleansing. There are several other features I'd like to highlight. ● Heated Seat - Very nice feeling to sit on a warmed-up toilet seat ● Deodorizer - This works to neutralize the smell. I was surprised how well this works. Per the manual you only need to replace the deodorizer block once every two years. ● Dryer system - Three different settings (low, medium, high) ● Heated Water - Three different settings for water temp and pressure. ● Night light - A nice calm blue color that is activated when sensor detects it is dark. This is especially helpful at nighttime. If you want to disable the nightlight see below. ● Stainless Steel Wand and UV-Light cleaning - The UV disinfecting cycle automatically runs every 24 hours, but you can run at any time by pressing the "Clean" icon. Other toilet seat cleansing systems like Toto use a plastic wand and do not have UV-Light cleaning. ● Wireless Remote - Already paired to toilet seat. Uses 4 AA batteries which are included. ● Slow close seat and cover Ease of Use: This toilet seat is very easy to use. It is primarily controlled through the remote control, but you can also use the buttons on the right side of the toilet seat panel (while sitting on toilet). The functions of the toilet seat will not work if pressure is not applied to the toilet seat. No need to worry about kids pressing buttons and having water spray everywhere. The remote features include: Preset 1, Preset 2, Deodorizer, Clean, Battery Percentage of remote, Stop, Front Clean, Rear Clean, Pulsate + Oscillate, Position, Water Temp, Seat Temp and Dryer. The panel features include: Rear Clean, Front Clean and Stop. Cons: The cons of the seat are mainly to the sizing. I've noticed that the seat is smaller than the previous non-cleaning (Kohler) one I replaced. I did some checking and per Kohler's spec sheets it is about 1.3" shorter (in depth). The seat is also raised/angled towards the back unlike a traditional toilet seat which is mostly flat. I am thinking this is for ergonomics and the electronic components. Both items are small things that we will get used to over time. Just wanted to point them out. Warranty: The Kohler C3 Cleansing Seat comes with a Three-Year Limited Warranty. To disable the nightlight, press and hold the ″Front″ icon on the remote for 3 seconds, until the icon blinks. Release and press the icon again. A long beep indicates the nightlight is disabled. I hope this reviewed helped. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment on my review and I will do my best to respond. ... show more

  • Take the leap!
Color: White
Reviewed by my wife: Having lived in Europe for a couple of years, I came to take for granted the freshness of using a bidet regularly. Even my most modest apartment came equipped with one, and it sort of left me with the question - what kind of savage animal lives without a bidet? Fast forward almost 30 years, having had a dream house line item, "BIDET" on my someday-list for quite some time now, I am now left with that ponderable question, "What kind of a savage animal was I to wait so long to get a bidet???" Simple install, easy to use, heated seat and water, adjustable direction and strength for water flow - check, check, check, check. The hand held controls make it so nice! The blue-lighted seat is a little bit overkill, as far as I'm concerned, but it's not a problem for me - and others might really like it. Two caviats: You need to have a power supply right there, or you can't use this. And your toilet seat needs to be of the "elongated" variety. It's pricey, yes. But get over it. You really will NEVER regret having this. As well you should consider having no toilet, or no sink. Or - what are you, a savage animal? I think not. Take the leap. ... show more

  • The Premium Bidet
Color: White
After spending 5 years in Africa, toilet paper looks so barbaric and unsanitary. Africans usually use water to clean themselves after they use the toilet. This KOHL bidet is perfect for either: a) The novice who is hesitant. Its numerous features should win you over. b) The expert who has a bidet, but wants something fancier. In short, it's good for everyone! IMPORTANT: You need a plug near the toilet. The manufacturer discourages uses extension cords. I love that the UV sanitization automatically cleans the stainless steel wand daily. Another neat feature is that it has a dryer built in, which most bidets lack (which forces you to use toilet paper). It's hard to justify spending $750 on a toilet seat. This is definitely a luxury item. On the other hand, you will save hundreds of dollars (and reduce waste) because you will buy far less toilet paper than you used to. So the cost is offset over the years that this well-built unit will last. ... show more
