I tend to go through wired earbuds a lot. I wear them when lifting weights, working on cars, doing yardwork, etc. They get a lot of wear and tear on them and I'm not gentle at all. I also tend to keep a spare pair around, and someone always needs a set at the last minute so I end up giving some away. I used to buy Panasonic earbuds which worked very well and had good sound quality, but prices have slowly climbed over the last couple of years. I was curious to see if these $6 could match the quality of the $14 Panasonics so I bought a pair. In short, for my use they're just as good. The sound quality is fine for music and audiobooks, certainly comparable to my Panasonics. They're not on the level of something like a premium set of headphones, but for a $ set of earbuds they punch above their weight. Durability is excellent. Most of the earbuds I've owned die when the wire to one bud stress-fractures and breaks internally, which makes the speaker on one side non-functional. I have yet to have that happen with one of these sets, and the only ones I've replaced are those that family members have lost. I have a pair of these on my tablet, another for my MP3 player, and still another on my PC at home. I bought another 2 pairs to keep "just in case" and already gave one of them away. If the quality and price remain where they are, I'll be buying these for a long time. ... show more

The audio is great in my opinion. It fits very comfortably in my ears. I like how the wiring has an almost jelly-like covering that protects the wire more than other cheap wired earbuds I’ve had. The earbuds part has a nice aluminum looking finish and the metal has a nice feel. Not cheap looking. The headphone jack is sturdier compared to other cheap earbuds, too. ... show more

When I bought this set a long time ago, I though that it looks flimsy. However, after I started using it, I've realized that the cable materials are actually good, even though it feels like real cheap stuff, which it is anyways. I've abused it for 8 months and it is still working. I must say that mic is not working anymore from all the pulling I've done but earpieces do work, which is matters most to me. Bought to fit my aging IPOD touch. These are super comfortable and there are extra ear pieces to fit nearly everybody. Great sound quality. Nice long cables. Removed one star because there is no volume control.
