First of all, I really appreciate the 14.5 inch height of this toilet. My doctor has told me the best medical position is to have your feet as high as possible when doing a number 2 and I've looked into products like the squatty potty to raise my feet but I always thought that why do we have to raise our feet with an external product when you can achieve the same result by lowering the toilet. Thank goodness I found this toilet that is only 14.5 inches high and it is more comfortable to do your business on this toilet than others that are way too high. I would have liked it if the toilet were a bit shorter but this toilet is great and comfortable much more than super tall toilets that are 16 or 17 inches high. It is also perfect for flushing because it never seems to clog no matter what my family throws at it. So far we only have installed it on 1 of our 5 bathrooms but I intend on replacing all our toilets with this one. ... show more

    • Low flow can handle anything

Hubby chose this model. I'm grateful that technology has caught up with low flow. It works well and looks nice. The dual flush is easy to navigate. You will need a seat/lid for it and a new wax ring. The first one that arrived did have a hold in it and it leaked. eFaucets were amazing to work with. I'm so grateful that they're professional and treated us like valued customers. They took care of filing the claim with Kohler and sent us another bowl. Hubby had concerns about buying on Amazon. Don't. It's easy and safe. Hubby spent a lot of time looking at the two so he could be sure we weren't going to get another one that leaked. And we did find it (little hole where it was just a depression in the new one). New bowl installed easily and works well. We'll be ordering another one for the last bathroom from efaucets. Soon. We need a little break from toilets. ... show more

Ordered white, got white bowl with black tank. Badly packaged, bowl arrived smashed. Then the thing is so big and heavy, and I couldn’t figure out how to return it (Amazon refused to leg me drop it at the usual location ) so it went in the back of the garage until I missed the return window.     • Hasn’t clogged once!

Update: 1 1/2 years in and still not 1 clog! I am getting this again to replace another toilet in the house, I like it that much. I have been using the Koehler K-3988-0 for about 2 months now. While the toilet I replaced clogged regularly (even on its last day... like a going away present), the Koehler has yet to clog once! It is also much quieter then I am used to. The only thing I wish was different would be the handle location. I now realize that a handle on the front left side would have been easier to reach. It being on the side (as was clearly shown) does not loose any stars since it is my fault for not realizing this would be a preference until after the purchase (and I’m only putting it here so others might consider this one detail in their search for a perfect throne). This is a fine looking commode! A definite upgrade to my 20 year old singing toilet. The dual flush is easy to use and all "waste" is sent down the drain easily. Even the movements where you see God are taken care of! The toilet was easy to install and came right to my door!

I sent it back. Trying to decipher what is meant by "standard", "right height", "universal" and "comfort height", is a quagmire. I had wanted a taller toilet so I was looking for anything but "standard". I asked questions, some answered, some not.
