This is everything it's "cracked" up to be! Sorry, I had to. I like everything about it; the looks, the operation and the overall engineering and design. I chose this because, even though it still uses four AA batteries like the rest of them, it comes with the rechargeable lithium variety, which can be charged via the built in USB C port and supplied USB C to USB adapter. Whatever its using to sense tip over is accurate and consistent and the operation is smooth. The grinds are nice. I haven't tried adjusting it yet, though. I hope this lasts some time, because it's one of those things that really ups the quality of life. If anything happens I'll report it back here, so if you're reading this as is, it's good to go.

I am disabled and can’t use a traditional pepper mill. Until I got my hands on this automatic Mill! I absolutely love this mill. It’s easy to. Charge, easy to load large pepper door, set how corse u like, and a light to help illuminate ur food,and its ease of use. Fill, turn power on, turn upside down, enjoy fresh cracked pepper! I had a different gravity operated grinder, that ran on batteries, and it worked well for maybe 15 years. So, when it finally died, I was upset to discover it’s no longer sold and that all new ones were virtually 99% the same; just sold by different companies at differing price points. Chose this one almost randomly. Frankly thought I’d NEVER use the power off switch on this but it serves a great purpose beyond extending the charge. Static inevitably leaves some grounds stuck to the inner rim, especially when using a fine grind setting. Trying to shake those off just results in more grinding. But power off, and you can tip, shake, brush to your hearts content without adding more pepper. Initially it seemed there was not much difference when adjusting grind size but 2-3 uses at a new setting and it “settles in” and one can get a very fine grind. (Coarse is easy.) I took away one star for the blue light. It makes it MORE DIFFICULT to see what’s making it into the pan or onto the plate; the exact opposite of its intention. A simple white light would be much better. Unless you’re using your pepper grinder to look cool; in which case there are other problems that need attention lol. Don’t keep it too close to any heating elements; I believe that’s what killed my previous grinder.

Really happy with this grinder so far! First off, love that it's USB-C rechargeable, no batteries to mess with, and it charges up pretty quickly. Definitely more convenient than my old battery operated one that just broke. Cleaning brush is a small bonus, nice to have to clean the head of the grinder to keep it nice and clean. Refilling is super easy, just pop the clear cover off, pour in your salt or pepper, and you're good to go. No weird twisting or awkward openings like some others I've used and its a large opening so make it way easier! One cool feature is the on switch only works when the grinder is facing down, so it won’t accidentally start spinning if it tips over or gets bumped. Smart design! Plus, you can easily adjust the grind size from fine to coarse depending on what you're using it for, attached a picture of fine and coarse setting. But its a twist so you can adjust the grind size precisely. Works great for both salt and pepper. Overall, sleek look and very user-friendly would definitely recommend!

Charged for more than the 13 hours recommended, it did zero. Replaced the preinstalled batteries with Duracells, it did zero. I guess instead of a $10 one I'll try a $15 dollar one then gradually increase prices until I get one that works.
