Used this heater to heat up a large container of water. I used this heater 5 times total leaving it into the water overnight to heat my tank. As I went to check on the temp in the morning I could smell something burnt. I unplugged the unit from my digital thermometer and pulled it out of the water And was in awe. This isn’t good! I had the unit for 2 months. Be careful

I got this to heat 5 gallons of liquid for rust removal and it worked well for that purpose. I've never used a device like this before, and the simplicity of the whole set up was pretty surprising to me. I would NOT use this heater without carefully watching it, for safety reasons. If you have ADHD like me, set a timer. I can see leaving this heater running for extended periods accidentally can potentially create dangerous situations, so please use with caution.
