Works wonderfully. I bought I yarn dispenser that I was struggling with when trying to use whole skeins. After winding them into a cake with this they feed properly off the dispenser and don’t get caught anymore. Very easy to use and I would consider good value for the price. Only critique is that some bulkier yarns with larger skeins (such as bernat size 6 yarn) go a bit over the edge so you have to be careful when you get to the end.

This is a wonderful contraption. Changed my whole knitting experience. The price is very reasonable, considering how well it workks. I did read some of the other comments, therefore, I go medium speed. If I go at a faster speed, it squeaks. I usually make the balls as large as I can. I read one of the reviews that said the recommended size of the ball is smaller. I didn't see that in the description, although, I need to go back and look. When I assembled it, I was somewhat confused when I put the spinning arm on. I finally realized that the screw went on the bottom side towards the middle. Otherwise, I found the instructions to be understandable. I do not try to store it in the box because if the metal yarn holder is pushed towards the machine, the plastic does scratch. I don't believe it was designed to be stored in the box. I recommend buying this product.

Works very well! After using it for a while, it started squeaking loudly when turning the handle, but a bit of WD-40 solved the problem. I’ve had no problems since. It’s quite easy to set up and use, although the cakes can’t get too large, otherwise the yarn slips off the top of the cake.

I Love this Winder! Well my Significant other does and the two other crocheters I know lol. It's a great gift for anyone dealing with yarn. It can handle large skeins of yarn while also being satisfying to use! Great for in between or breaks from projects. It's fast and easy to set up while also being well made. We purchased a different brand initially, because it was cheaper. The extra money we spent on this one was much better. It actually has rubber feet to prevent damaging desk or tabletops, while it has a large adjustability for most sized tables/desk. Great gift!

I wound a whole cone on yarn. it does the job. I did find that if you wind tooooo fast, the yarn ball flies off!! Pretty funny the first time. steady does it.

She works well. But after several months of use, I've had 2 teeth on the gear that have snapped clean off from inside. It became extremely loud and jumps while I wind yarn. More petite yarns tend to slip off and get thrown off the winder while it's spinning. Otherwise, it's easy to use and still makes great yarn cakes, but I wish it held up better.

I really love this winder! I’ve caked many skeins now since getting it almost 4 months ago and have had no issues at all! My daughters love helping me with it too! I love the adjustable connector part so I can attach it to anything.
